Drakelyn - dragon shifters

There are tribes, instead of "packs" like with werewolves.

There is the Alpha Chief which is the leader of the tribe and the highest rank, (much like with werewolves).

There is also a Royal Family which is the highest of the high and the ultamite chief, like the Chief of the Chiefs.

There are also roles in the tribe called the Beta, they are like second in command next to the Alpha Chief, (i'll think of something better to call it so im not copying werewolves).

The birth place of the Drakelyn race are in the cliff mountains of ancient Scotland.

There are eight Clans within the tribe. Each having their own jobs, talents, personalities, purpose and status. There are the:

Celestials

Dawnians

Novians

Gloryians

Glasstens

Iceclens

Earthtles

Treestles

(i will go on to explain all of their coloring, status, jobs and talents in each their own chapter/sort of......... like not really chapters but little blerbs on different pages)

The Drakelyn's biggest badge of honor is their wings because the thing that the Drakes live for is flying. Your wings show your status, beauty, uniqueness, power and destiny.                                           That is why when you commit a chrime or something, your punishment  was getting your wings clpped. You were forced to shift into your Drake form and then they would bind your wings together with metal chains.  Then they slice down the edge of the wing leaving gaping holes in the skin. you are then forced to heal on your own with no help leaving them deformed, making it impossible to fly ever again. Insted of killing them for their crime they are forced to live with the shame of their wings and forced to live without their soul perpose on earth. To fly.
