Whilst Silver and Piper were out on their date, Tails and Em were off to Rudiks Hollow, also known as the Jewel of the North.

The Two Engineers of Rudiks Hollow. Lovers? No way:

Emerald and Tails were off to Em's home town, Rudiks Hollow by means of aerial transportation (flying). Since Tails couldn't fly all the way there, Em let him ride with her on her griffin, Topaz. During the trip, the two couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery presented to them. As soon as they were about to land, Tails propelled himself off of Topaz's back before Em could even land her faithful steed. Thankfully, she managed to catch up with her twin-tailed fox friend after she landed. "So this is Rudiks Hollow, huh," Tails asked. "Yep," Em replied, "the Jewel of the North." The two stopped by a very cosy looking dwarven house. "And this is my house," Em said, gesturing to the humble home. "Wow," Tails replied, "I can't believe that this is where you grew up. I can't wait to meet your family." "Neither can I," Em said, suddenly very embarrassed. Why? Well... Never mind, she knocked on the door using her signature knock.
"Who is it," a woman asked from the other side of the door. "It's me, Em," Em replied, "I'm here with a friend of mine. Plus, I told you that I'll use a special knock to indicate that I'm visiting." "Sorry, darling," the woman said, "it was on the back of my mind, that's all." The door swung open and presented a middle aged woman with blonde hair, spectacles behind her maroon eyes and clothes only someone like her would wear. "Tails," Em sighed, gesturing to the woman, "this is my mother, Citrine Goldenbraid. Mom, this is my friend, Tails." "Good afternoon, Mrs Goldenbraid," Tails greeted, "my names is Miles Prower, but you can call me Tails the Fox." "It's very nice to finally meet you, Tails," Citrine replied, "Emerald here has told me a lot about you; about your high intelligence despite your age, your ingenious inventions that require a high understanding of engineering, your..." "Okay, mom, that's enough," Em cut in, "shall we just go inside?" "Ah yes," Tails replied, "we have a project to work on." Em, Tails and Citrine entered the humble abode. Inside, a old man was reading a newspaper whilst 2 boys are belching their lungs out in some sort of disgusting belch-off. "Honey," Citrine called, "guess who's here to visit." The man lifted his head out from behind the newspaper and the boys stopped their little contest to see who Citrine was talking about. "Tails, this is my husband, Malachite," Citrine said, gesturing to her husband, "and my twin sons, Hailite and Ferrus." "Good afternoon, everyone," Tails greeted, "my name is Miles Prower, but you can call me Tails." "Woah," Hailite and Ferrus said in unison when they saw the twin-tailed fox for the first time. Tails looked at his 2 tails, then chuckled. I guess they've never seen a fox with two tails before, he thought. "Come on, Tails," Em said in a quick panic, "let's head over to the workshop right now. That weapons system isn't gonna install itself." She grabbed Tails' hand and ran to the workshop (between you and me, it's more of a basement that a workshop, but what the hay are we gonna do). "Have fun, you two," Citrine called, "if you need anything, just call me." Meanwhile, at the workshop, Em and Tails had just entered without so much as an explanation as to why they left so quickly. Em let go of Tails' hand and started looking for tools at a normal pace. "Uh, Em, I love you," Tails sighed, relieving the tension that Em created in his hand, "but what was that all about?" "Tails," Em said, "have you ever had any embarrassing moments with your parents before? Or, in this instance, Sonic?" "I mean, there were those few moments," Tails replied, "and besides, you were there when we..." "Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, Tails, we don't talk about that moment, NOPE," Em embarrassingly cut in, "but that's besides the point. The point is those silly little hijinks are multiplied tenfold when I'm here." "Oh, I never realized that it's embarrassing coming back home for you," Tails said. Em found a chair to sit down and was about to weep when she felt a warm embrace all around her. Tails wrapped his arm behind Em and one of his tails on her lap. Em looked deep into Tails' sapphire blue eyes through her amethyst eyes, then gave him the biggest hug any friend would give him. They let go, stared deep into each other's eyes with smiling, friendly faces when all of a sudden, they heard 2 boys chuckling from out of nowhere. Tails and Em looked around the room and saw Hailite and Ferrus spying on the two geniuses from the entrance. "By the Hammer of Harmon?! Hailite, Ferrus," Em screeched, "I swear, by the Star of Gygax, I will go Mysticon Knight on the both of you if you don't get out!" "What's going on here," Malachite called from the other side of the room. "Oh, I don't know," Tails sarcastically replied, "maybe ask your NOSY, GOOD FOR NOTHING SONS!" Malachite and Citrine stormed over to the workshop in a terrifyingly angry huff that almost shook the house down. "You two," Citrine shouted, "how many times have I told you not to spy on your sister whenever she brings a male friend over! First, it was Malvaron, then it was Kasey (Em's boyfriend) and now Tails?!" "What can I say, Mom," Em sassily said, "these two be a whole lot of trouble." "Well then, say goodbye to video games, TV and Internet for the rest of the month," Malachite growled, his voice is that of a monster, "YOU'RE GROUNDED!" "But, Dad," Hailite and Ferrus said in unison, "the rest of the month will take forever to end, and..." "No excuses," Em angrily screamed, "you heard what Mom and Dad said! Go to your room NOW!" Hailite and Ferrus ran to their room crying, tears flowing down their eyes in shame. Everyone else slowly and heavily breathed as they tried calming down. "When I said just call me if you need anything, I didn't mean like this," Citrine gasped, "we might as well lose our voices if we continued screaming at them." "That would be a shame, Mr and Mrs Goldenbraid," Tails said, "I didn't even get a chance to yell." Everyone started laughing when a sudden buzz and a sudden ding ding ding cut the mood. "Hey, Em, we got a message," Tails said, looking at his phone. "It's from Arkayna," Em added, looking at her phone. "What does it say," Citrine asked. Tails and Em read the message from Arkayna, then pulled grim expressions on their faces. "Is it anything good," Malachite asked. "Well, Sir," Tails replied, "all we can say is that your daughter and I will have to put our mech project on hold." "We gotta go," Em added, "our friends need us!" Tails and Em hugged Malachite and Citrine, ran back outside, hopped back on Topaz and flew back to headquarters.

Hey guys. Just realized that I spelled Rudiks wrong. I spelled it as Rudex, but then realized that the spelling was wrong. Sorry for the inconvenience
