Amanda's POV

When I left the diner Dru called me being completely stupid. He actually thought I would give him a another chance. I told him off and hung up the phone then turned it off. I drove around for a while longer thinking about everything that happened. While I was driving my emotions hit me and I started crying again. My heart was hurting so bad, it was like nothing I've ever felt before. I thought if Dru was cheating I could deal with it. I didn't know I would be this hurt about it an what made it worse was him cheating with my best friend. I shook my head an cried harder. "Oh my god I hate those two." I exhaled an pulled myself together. I figured I would go home so I started the car. Before I could pull off there was a police siren. I turned the car off an took the keys out. The officer walked over to the car so I rolled down the window. "Yes?" I said looking at the guy. "I need your license and registration." "Why?" I kept looking at the officer. "I will ask the questions." "Is there a reason you're asking me for my things?" I didn't know why I was going through this I could've just given the guy what he was asking for and all this would've been over. "I'm not going to ask you again for your license and registration." "Well get your supervisor out here and maybe she'll tell me why you're pulling me over." The guy walked away so I rolled my window back up. I was pissed off an annoyed so I started to cry all over again. Not even five minutes later another guy was knocking on my window. I rolled it down an looked at the guy. "Yes?!" "Have you been drinking tonight miss?" "What?" I looked at the guy. "Have you been drinking?" "I'm 17.. I don't drink!" I snapped an started to cry all over again. The guy stopped an looked at me. "My officer told me you've been sitting out here for a long time?" "I didn't know that was against the law." I looked at the guy. "He also said you wouldn't give him your license and registration." "If he wasn't being a jerk to me he would've gotten it." I sniffed an looked at the floor of my truck. "What's your name?" The officer asked. "What's yours?" "I'm not going to play these games with you little girl now tell me your name." He snapped an I looked at him. "Amanda.." "Amanda what?" I started to cry again. "McFarland." I looked at the floor. (This is not my real last name but its real similar.) The guy paused then exhaled. "You wanna tell me why you're sitting on the side of the road?" "Crying." "Why are you crying Amanda?" I looked at the guy. "My boyfriend cheated on me with my best friend and my dad told me never to drive when I'm upset are you happy now?!" I was crying even harder now. "No that doesn't make me happy." "Yeah it does! It makes everybody happy except me!" (I was giving this cop a really hard time but he was such a sweetheart.) He was talking but I kept crying. "Ok." He walked away an came back with a bottle of water. He opened my door an gave me the bottle. "Take a few sips, you'll be alright." I exhaled an looked at the guy. "Am I getting arrested?" I sniffed an sipped the water. "No, is there someone who can come an pick you up?" "My dad.. You want me to call him?" "No I want you to drink that water an calm yourself down." "Ok." I sipped the water an looked around. "Do you want my license and stuff?" "No, just give me your dads number." "Ok" I gave him the number an he went an sat in his car. I put my head down and wiped my tears away.

A few minutes later the officer came over to me. "Did you talk to my dad?" "Yes, he's concerned and worried about you." That didn't make me feel better an I started to cry. "Is he coming?" I asked. "Yes he's on his way." "Ok." "Its going to be alright, broken hearts heal." "Thank you." I gave him the empty bottle and put my head back down. Ten minutes later my dads friend was pulling up. My dad came over an hugged me. "Oh my god honey don't ever do that again." He said. "I'm sorry daddy." He let me go and talked to the officer. A few minutes later my dad came and told me to get in the passenger seat. I climbed over and my father got in then we were headed home. I told my father what happened and I think he was pissed but he's good at masking his feelings. In the middle of our conversation I fell asleep. I remember the car stopping but I don't remember going into the house.
