I woke up to the blaring sound of my teddy bear alarm clock, I loved this alarm clock because it was shaped like a teddy bear and I love teddy bears, but the sound it gave off made me feel like flushing it down the toilet at times.

I sat up and exhaled a heavy breath at the thought of how my last year in high school was going to be, and how the first day of my last year would be, I had mixed feelings, I was excited and troubled at the same time, a lot of decisions awaiting me this year, I hope I make the right ones.

I took a warm shower, brushed my teeth and got dressed in a black thrasher flame logo hoodie, black jeans and a black adidas sneakers.

Black was my signature color.

I placed everything I needed in my bag and walked out of my room, I went downstairs, grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter, placed it in my bag and went outside, as usual my dad and Bella were already in the car waiting for me.

"Hey Bells",I teased as I entered the car the back seat.

"Hey Becks", she teased back.

"Seriously, the same old traditions?", my dad exchanged looks with us as he drove, "I honestly can't believe this is going to be the last time I'm going to drop my little girl and her best friend on their first day of school", he sighed.

"Oh come on dad, don't get all sentimental on us".

"I'm not, I'm just going to miss these little moments we spend together, I've been doing this for over seven years, it's part of my life story", he smiled at me.

"Same here, I just wish Clemy was here to enjoy our last joy ride together ", Bella said as she wrote something down on a piece of paper.

"Oh yeah, why isn't he here?", my dad asked.

Bella handed me the paper she was writing on, "he wanted to pray in church before coming to school, he said fasting didn't seem enough to him for the first day of our last year".

Clement, Bella and I always had this tradition to fast every first day of a new school year.

"He is such a good person and a gentleman", my dad said looking at me.

"Thank you Mr Duria", Bella chuckled.

"You are really lucky Bella, he is a good boy on his way to becoming a great man, I actually hoped Becca and Clement would end up together but...."

"Seriously dad?", I cut him off before he could finish talking, " really?, on my first day you have to bring this up in the car", i furrowed my eyebrows.

"You can force me to allow you to date him, but you cannot force me to like him".

"I don't care if you like Trevor or not, I just don't want you giving me a hard time about it", I lashed out.

"Watch your tone young lady", he said in a stern voice.

"Trevor Wilson is a down hard FUCK boy".

I looked at my dad in horror.

"Yeah I said it, he is a fuck boy, I don't want him breaking your heart, or worse, getting you pregnant", he looked at me.

The shade that was thrown at me for being Trevor's girlfriend was not an easy circumstance to overcome when we started dating, not only from my dad, but from the church, Clement, Bella and the rest of my friends, I couldn't go around explaining to everyone why I accepted him, but he needed help, and I was the only one he could turn to, it surprised a lot of people, what surprised them even more is the fact that we have lasted this long without Trevor cheating on me, but he loved me, and well, i don't know if I love him, but I want to help me change and become a better person.
