"Narendra Modi declared a three-week nationwide lockdown starting midnight Tuesday, explaining that it was the only way of breaking the infection cycle." - March 24

This is where from everything started! Never fathom like this to happen in the worst nightmare, but sadly our reality was turning in into nightmare, and this was just the starting!

"Many companies and firms shut office operations after the nationwide lockdown was announced on March 25. Initially imposed for 21 days, the lockdown was extended to May 3 as the number of increased in the country."

"Prime Minister Modi's lockdown was announced on March 24 without any prior warning or any substantial plan to provide the basic needs of working people and the rural toilers. This has brought immense hardship to millions of workers who are employed as daily low-wage workers in the textile, leather, retail, tourism, construction and other sectors."

Internal migrant workers across India are confronting increasingly harsh conditions, including lack of food and starvation, and unhygienic, overcrowded accommodation, as a result of the government's coronavirus lockdown." - March 27

"With all public transport halted, up to 600,000 migrant workers were confronted with having to walk hundreds of kilometres to reach their villages. Those who failed to do so were herded into temporary shelters arranged by state governments. The shelters are unhygienic and without adequate amenities, including food and water. In most cases, the only meals are provided by charities and NGOs rather than state government authorities" - March 29

"Over 50 healthcare professionals have been tested positive for corona virus in India. The first three doctors that were tested had no prior travel history or symptoms. It is believed that all the doctors contracted the disease through their patients. An Andheri-based doctor is currently under quarantine with his family as all members have tested positive for the disease.

Furthermore, the first medical practitioner to die was Dr. Shatrughan Panjwani, a private practitioner from Indore. The 60-year-old physician passed away on 9th April, 2020 leaving behind many mourners." - April 1

"Experts said there is high stress that the current crisis has brought upon employees as well as organisations, and with the lockdown not looking to end soon, the emotional challenges employees are confronting have increased manifold." - April 12

Unemployment started. Many of the workers were removed from their jobs without any pay checks or salary and till date we don't have any job security with us, thus the only bread and butter earner of the house was jobless and the reason of his stress and depression also committing suicides, domestic violence.

"The extended lockdown is now having its cascading effect. A young couple in Bihar committed suicide after they failed to repay their loan.

"The tragic incident took place in the Vaishali district where a 35-year-old businessman Ramesh Shah hanged himself shortly after his wife Suman set herself on fire and died." - April 12

"In India, thousands of workers are lining up twice a day for bread and fried vegetables to keep hunger at bay.

"The coronavirus pandemic has brought hunger to millions of people around the world. National lockdowns and social distancing measures are drying up work and incomes, and are likely to disrupt agricultural production and supply routes — leaving millions to worry how they will get enough to eat" - April 10

"Farming communities are facing losses during harvest season and the government needs to step up procurement to protect agricultural income and save the produce." - April 17

"The virus have targeted daily wage workers, such as vegetable and fruit vendors, milk sellers, auto rickshaw and taxi drivers, and others delivering essential goods, making them beg for food and shelter." - April 17

"Hundreds of Indian police have tested positive for the coronavirus in recent days, raising alarm among an over-stretched force as it attempts to enforce the world's largest lockdown to contain the pandemic." - May 6

"Even though children have not been the face of this pandemic as they have largely been spared of the direct health effects of Covid-19 so far, findings of the study indicate that they have been among its biggest victims with multiple side-effects on their physical and psycho-social well-being," Puja Marwaha, the chief executive officer of CRY, said.

"More than half of the parents reported that their child became more agitated and anxious during the lockdown," said the report, adding, "37 percent of respondents reported that the child's mental well-being and happiness were affected due to lockdown." - May 13

Besides, 88% respondents said their children's exposure to screens increased during the lockdown, with 45% reporting the increase "to a great extent" and only 43% of the parents/ primary caregivers said they always supervised when the child was online.

At least 20 Indian soldiers have died after a "violent face-off" with Chinese troops along the countries' de facto border in the Himalayas late Monday, the Indian army has said.

The incident occurred during a "deescalation process" underway in the Galwan Valley in the disputed Aksai Chin-Ladakh area, where a large troop build-up has reportedly been , before senior military commanders began talks earlier this month. - June 17

Iss lockdown mein apne ghar par baithe Maine sochi ek baat,
Ki akhir Kya hai zindagi?
Kagaz ki kashti ki tarah Kya nazuk hai zindagi? Yaa Himalaya ke tarah atal hai zindagi?

Band hai aaj sab apne gharo mein,
Naa office hai na, na school hai, na mandiron mein jaane ki chut hai.
Par Kya ghar par baithe rehna hai hai ab hamari zindagi?

Koi khaana paka raha hai toh koi sangeet suna raha hai.
Ghar ke kaamon mein aaj har shaks ek dusre ka haath bata raha hai.
Jo shaam ko ek min aaram se baithke baatein nahi kar paa rahe the,
aaj ghanto ek saath baithke chai-pakodo ke mazze utha raha hai.
Toh maine pucha Kya yahi hai asli zindagi?

Par phir unka Kya jo hai iss samay akele, apne parivaar se bichde,
Naa aata hai gaana bajana, naa khaana banana.
Baithe hai sofe par, soch mein doobe ki akhir unke liye Kya itni lazy hai zindagi??

Khojo khud ko iss baar, khud ke andar ke andar dabe kala ko laau nikal bahar.
Girenge ham, kho jayenge kayi baar par ladke nikal aana hai issbaar.

NAHI hai yeh koi daud par zindagi hamesha chalne ka hai dusra naam.

Khud par rakhna hai hame vishwas,
Iss aapada se ladke dikhana hai iss baar, kyunki,
Zindagi thami zaroor hai par ruki nahi hai,
Hausla nazuk zaroor hai par tuta nahi.

I know you all are aware of what is going on in India, what is the state of people, under what mental as well as physical torture they are going through.

Some of us couldn't even fathom, in what state the frontline warrior's family will be!

We don't know when we'll get back to our normal life, or, if we have to accept this state as our "new normal"

But all we know is, we need to stay strong, fight back and support the people who are helping us in any way we can.

This initiative is for these heroes who are unstoppable!

Who is working for us day and night for our betterment and if we can do even if a little bit to make them smile then I think we should.
