June March always did as she was told. She never did anything out of character and she never let anyone in. She always thought out what she was going to do, barely ever acted on impulse, and made sure that everyone knew that.

Her mother, an Outer Banks native, always fit in as a typical kook. She loved the lavish life and she loved the feeling of being above everyone. June's dad however was not very fond of it. He encouraged his children to branch out and have fun and always seemed to get disappointed that June didn't. Always disappointed that she played it safe.

She was born and raised in the Outer Banks and was considered a kook by basically everyone there. She never really got the names but she respected the differences. Her boyfriend Zach however was
full kook and was part of the little gang of teenage boys who hated pogues with a burning passion. His blood boiled every time he saw any pogues and he almost always had to say something or pick a fight.

June was having a very poor summer, her only bit  of  dwindling happiness coming from her boyfriend. That is until adventure came knocking at her door. That is until her family's gardener quit, her mom put out an ad, and JJ Maybank showed up to mow.
