"You're such fucking idiot," Misty said in a disappointed tone.

"What? You have no idea how much courage I needed for that!" Arden cried out.

"You should be glad that your skater-boy even agreed to go after your weird cheeky-ass attempt, and now you're thinking about taking Liam with you?"

Misty had a brutal honesty that tested most of her friendships, but Arden could not appreciate it. She possessed guile and complexity, making her different from any other friend Arden had. That was why he loved her.

Though, sometimes he hated how she looked right through him. Hated it when she was right.

 "It would be weird..."

"Well, no shit."

"I thought if Liam came with us then Yuri would be more comfortable..."

"He or you? So you'd be less uncomfortable," Misty pointed out, and Arden looked away., "Why are you acting like a teenager?"

"What do I do now? Say that Liam won't come with us? He's very reserved, and I don't even know where his relationship with Felix stands, yet. It's weird how he agreed to go out with me."

"You're doing fine. You don't have to take Liam," Misty said with a sigh. "Now, I'm getting late for work. Drop me at the studio?"

She would be unavailable until he needed her or she needed him. Her genuine smile was for those who mirrored it and didn't expect anything in return, which was the complete opposite of Arden. 

Arden never understood their friendship but accepted it anyway.

"Sure."

...

"Does he know?" Yug asked with a concerned voice when they entered the apartment complex.

A familiar fear travelled through Yuri's veins, never showing on his face. He was afraid if Arden knew then it wouldn't take him long to turn his back towards him.

"No," Yuri murmured. "You don't have to worry about it." He didn't like this role reversal where Yug was right, and Yuri didn't want to admit it.

"You're not thinking this through! Are you repeating your-" Yug stopped himself and rubbed his hands over his face, by the time he looks back at Yuri, he already had walked further and he quickly follows after.  "Look, I got a hold on you after all this time... You think I want you to lea-" 

"He- Arden is not like them," Yug might have stopped himself, but Yuri knew exactly what he meant.  "And you were the one who wrote that note to him," Yuri winced at his bad attempt to divert from the topic.

Why did he have to be concerned? Why did he have to wrap Yuri in a caring blanket? How could Yuri not consider his actions, knowing they affected him too?

"On your behalf," Yug argued in defence. "You said you wanted to go and you were taking too long to write back, I just made the process faster?" by the end of his sentence, he got unsure about his argument.

"I do want to go... but, would never write something like that." Yuri shrugged with an exaggerated smirk, "I've got an image to maintain." 

"So, you should tell him-" Yug paused when Yuri nudged him with his elbow as he saw two people walk out of the elevator.

Yug turned towards Yuri, and they shared an equally surprised look, over different things. Yug has never really seen Arden before and with Yuri's reaction in hand, it didn't take long for him to put two and two together. He was about to say something, but the girl beside Arden spoke up.

"The skater-boy?" she asked with an amused grin and looked at Arden, who had a palm over his face. "Hey! Yuri right?" She held out her hand to Yuri. 

He nodded while shaking her hand. 

"You might not know about me, but I know a lot about you. Well, that came out creepy. Ardie here told me about you," she said, putting her arm around Arden's shoulder, "and I would love to talk to you more... if I wasn't running late. I'll see you some other time. Bye!" She waved and dragged Arden with her by his arm.

Arden whispered a 'sorry' to both of them before following her out of the building.

"All hot guys are either gay or taken." Yug and Yuri heard Misty exclaim out loud as she walked out of the building.

"I was right here," Yug muttered.

"She said hot guys, Yug," Yuri whispered back at Yug.

"How dare you?!"
