Chapter Ten

Ava's POV

We got to a particular place and the car came to an halt, I looked at Dian but his face held no emotions whatsoever.

What did you expect Ava

He doesn't owe me anything anyways.
I pushed the car door open and get out of the car after he does same.

I stare at the building in front of me and heaved a sigh.
My baby is about two months in my stomach and I haven't had any medical check up through out the two months. I hope my baby is safe.

I wrapped my hands around my baby plump and smiled to myself. Even though this child is a mistake, a very big mistake at that, I'm still excited about it.

"Stop smiling and let's go inside." Dian's voice draw me out of my trance.
He grabbed my hand and lead my inside the hospital, the way he held my hand tenderly as we enter the hospital makes me blush. Or maybe he was just doing it for public recognition but he doesn't need to do all that.
Everybody knows who he is, the ruthless billionaire.

The thought of my dad pop up in my head and I shivered, what if he kill him? Everyone knows what he's capable of.
We enter the elevator he released my hand from his hold.

"What are you thinking about? He asked. His voice wasn't calm at all, it was stern and salty.
I shook my head and glued my eyes on the floor.

"Words Ava, don't shook your head for me I want your damn word, I wanna hear you say it." He sneered. Why is he angry all of a sudden? I didn't do anything to get on his nerves so why is he pissed off?
Or his he bipolar?

He slammed my back on the cold metal and I stare directly at his eyes.
"I'll ask you again, what are you thinking about? He asked yet again. Why is he insisting on knowing my thoughts?

"My dad." I muttered and he furrowed his brow. He released my hands slowly and back off from me.
The elevator opened and he got out while I followed behind.
He didn't say anything,but why? Did he do something to dad?

I was worried. Even though dad put me in this mess with his deal but he is my father and I don't want nothing to happen to him.

"Doctor Mike in? Dian asked the receptionist and she nodded lightly. She was afraid to speak but Dian ignored her and lead the way.
He push open a door and went in while I followed immediately.

Few minutes later we were both sitting in front of the doctor.
"Good morning doctor." I greeted.

"Good morning Ava, how are you? He asked. He seems nice though.
"Am fine doctor." I retorted with smiles on my face.
He nodded and face his computer.

"So I'm going to check how our little one is doing, please follow me." He said as he lead the way to the inner room in his office.
Dian stood up and follow us too.

"Are you following us? I asked and he scoffed. His eyes fixed on my stomach.
"I'll do whatever I want, Whether I want to watch you while he examine you is my fucking problem, now move." He said sternly.
This is the real ruthless Dian Lawson. His blue eyes were deep.

The doctor cleared his throat and we follow him inside the room.
We got inside the room and he asked me to lay down on the stretcher.

I did as he said while he raised up my top dress a little showing off my bare baby plump.

He rubbed it with something and stare at the computer in front of me.
"Your baby is fast growing." He said and a smile broke on my face. I have got so much attached to this baby that everything concerning this child makes me happy.

"In four months time we should be able to know it's sex." He said and I nodded.

"You have quite a big stomach for a two months old baby." He said and touched my stomach with his bare hand.

"Stop touching her." Dian growls. Why his he being so overprotective? The doctor is doing his job and he's being a dickhead right now. I wish I could tell him to his face but I can't.

Doctor Mike help me down from the stretcher and I stand on my feet straightening my top dress.
"So when is her next appointment? Dian asked and I focused on the doctor to know when it is.

"After your trimester,that is a month to come I'll forward an message to your email sir." He said to Dian who just nodded.

He held my hand and we left the doctor's office.
An hour later we got home (Dian's mansion) I quickly come down from the car and headed inside the house.

"Why are you in a rush sweetheart?Dian asked, stopping me midway to the stairs.
I didn't know what to say, I got to find something and say.
One thing have come to learn about Dian is that he hates to be ignored and also hate being treated like a deaf person.
I gulp and put up a fake smile.

"I just want to rest a little, I'm tired." I said with a smile.
He glance at my stomach and nodded.
I rushed upstairs before he changes his mind and slammed the door close behind me.

Dian's POV

I drove to my company and walk out of the elevator.

"Good morning Sir." My secretary greeted.
Miss what what.
I have formed the habit of forgetting her name.

I nods to her greetings and went inside my office. I went to my book shelf and pick up a file from it.
I sat down on my chair and loosen my tie a little bit.

I picked up the telephone and put a call across to my secretary.

☎I need you in my office this minute." I said and dropped the phone as I flipped out a certain page.

A faint knock came on the door before she came in.

"You called me Sir."

"Yea,I want you to find me the blue thick back file on the shelf." I said and she turns her back and walk towards the shelf.

My mind drifted off to what Ava said inside the elevator some hours ago.

My dad

I wonder what she's thinking, maybe she thought that I killed her father already or whatever.

I planned to do so anyways.
