Chapter Thirteen

Dian's POV

It has been two days since I shouted at Ava and I must say that I regretted it.

Though she did push me into saying those things. To be honest I hate it when people sneak up on me.

"Okay Dee, you're trying to say that the pregnancy is yours? Blaine asked for the fifth time today.
I told him about Ava's pregnancy and he was more than surprise. Well I am surprised myself.

"Yea and stop with the questions Blaine, I've got to figure out how to get out of this mess." I seethed out.

"Woah! This is surprising." He said and was silent for awhile before looking at me.

"Do you, like love her? He asked and I chuckled.
How silly could Blaine be, he of all people knows that I don't do 'I love you' stuff.

"Love? I don't know what that is." I replied and chuckled.

F**k I need to release some stress tonight.

"So how are you planning to tell her that you're the father of her baby, I mean how are you going to do it? He asked and I groaned.

"I don't care, it's not like I rape her or something. She just have to accept it." I said coldly.
I don't really care how she or anybody feels.

I do whatever I like and that's it.

"Back to business, so Montgomery haven't pay me back my money yet and I'm losing it. You know what happens when I lose it." I said and he smirked.

"You destroy things." He replied. Well that's right.

"He is owing me a million dollars and he is giving me silly excuses as to why he us yet to pay me my money." I said and stood up from my chair.

I walk off to the window and pull apart the curtains. The sun zoom inside the office as I looked down at the city of New York.

"Well, I'll be on my way now. I'm inviting you and Ava for dinner in my house tonight." He said and I turned to face him.

"Who will cook? I asked with an amused face.
Blaine is a great cook though. So it won't be a surprise if he cook by himself.

"I am." He replied and pick up his phone from the desk.

"See ya tonight." He said and turn on his heel.
The sound of the closed door brought me back to my senses.

I sat down on my chair and press on the intercom.

"Step inside my office immediately." I said and glance at the tons of files and paperwork on my desk.

A knock came on the door and I heaved a sigh.

"Come in."

She walk in and closed the door behind her.

"You called me Sir." That wasn't a question I supposed.

"Pick up the red file and go through it, pen down the important subjects and report back to me." I said to her and she pick up the file.

"Sir, Mr Montgomery called earlier and booked for an appointment with you." She said and I look up at her.

"When do I have an appointment with him?

"In two hours Sir."

"Good, you're dismissed." I said calmly and look around my desk searching for my phone.

I've lived with Ava for more than a month now and the funniest thing is that I don't have her cellphone number neither does she have mine.

I grab my phone from my pant pocket and dial Ray's number.

"Hello Sir."

"Where is Ava? I asked.
"She is outside in the garden." He replied and I rub the back of my neck.
She has been quiet since our last conversation and somehow I hate it.

I hate it when am ignored but most especially. I hate it when she ignores me.

Goddammit!

"Okay, don't bother making dinner tonight." I said and hang up on him before he could say more.
I grab my suit jacket and wore it then pick my phone.

I log out of my laptop and shut it down before walking out of my office.

"Get the car ready." I said into the phone after dialing Daniel's number.

"Cancel my appointment with Montgomery, I'll pay him a surprise visit." I said to my secretary before walking inside the elevator.

He has the nerve to book an appointment meanwhile he is still owing me.
If you can stay then get the fuck out of my business.

I walk out of the elevator and everywhere was quiet like a graveyard.

This folks sure wanna keep their jobs.

Daniel opened the car door for me as I got to the parking lot.

"Where are we going Sir? He asked after settling down at driver seat.

"Montgomery Inc." I said with venom.
I think I'm ready to share a new blood.

Ava's POV

I look at the moving fishes inside the pool and smiled.
They look beautiful.

The way the bigger fishes take care of the small one is fascinating.

I place my hand on my stomach and giggled.
I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'll get to know the sex of my child. Whether a boy or girl.
I don't care. I just want to have my baby and take care of her.

Then my mind flash back to the picture at the sitting room.
It look oddly familiar.

I feel so connected to the picture.
I stood up straight and walk towards the main entrance.

I have to solve this puzzle.
Who is the masked girl?

Another chapter in the space if 24hrs.

Phew! I never knew I could do that.
