Liora told him many things every day.She told him about how the banquet had beautiful fairies from Siodonna dancing for the emperor.
She also told him about stories about spirits that have left the human world and went to the spirit world.
She especially focused on stories about dryads.
Elias sometimes wondered if Liora knew he understood what she was saying or she hoped he understood or she was crazy bored that she was talking to herself.
Today was another day she told him a story about dryads. Liora had moved the rocking chair beside the Chrysanthos Grand Tree.
Elias was in the wooden arms as Liora told him a story.
"Dryads are children of the World Tree. They were also known as the guardians and messengers of the World Tree.
Dryads went to the world where no humans existed because humans and spirits fought too much. The dryads that went back are now referred to as Ancient Dryads. The dryads that can be found these days are full fledged dryads but have human blood in their bloodline. These dryads are able to live as humans and hide their identity."
It was interesting so Elias did not make fuss, not that he ever made a fuss.
Liora suddenly stood up and bowed.
"Blessings and glory upon the sun of the Obelian Empire."
Elias blinked in confusion. The man had approached him and stared at him with cold eyes. The young prince could do nothing within the wooden arms.
"How do you hold a baby?"
Claude questioned Liora who moved to Elias and picked him and cradled him in her arms.
"It is important to support his head and neck, your majesty."
Liora started to explain.
"For babies, their head is the heaviest part of their body until they grow up. Place one hand under the head and another under the bottom. From there, raise their body to your chest level. From there you can cradle his highness or hold him as he rests his head on your shoulder. Would your majesty like to hold him?"
Claude nodded and stretched his arms.
The nanny gently and carefully reached to place Elias on Claude's arms.
"Your majesty?"
A soft and honey like voice called out and Claude immediately turned. Liora quickly brought Elias back to her chest.
"Have him return to his room."
Claude ordered as he walked away.
"That child..."
The dancer asked her pink eyes to land on Elias.
"No one you should concern yourself over."
Elias's did not leave Claude's back as it furthered away. Then as he was going inside the room, he saw a woman with light blond hair and her eyes were pink.
"She is a dancer from Siodonna."
Liora informed him.
Like always, Elias did not respond but stared at Claude and the dancer. She was beautiful and magical like a fairy in the fairytales that Liora told him.
Claude looked happy with the dancer. His expression softened as he held her in his arms. His shoulders relaxed.
'I am not needed here as well.'
As if reading his mind, Liora tightened her hold around him but Elias felt hardly any comfort and he closed his eyes.

"The heart of dryads is very special. That is because each dryad has its own unique miracle. Just like the World Tree is able to keep the world together with it's roots and its branches and fruits can create so many miracles, dryads have their own miracle. The King of Dryads was able to create space and with the help of the Queen of Fairies - who could create time - they created a dimension for full fledged spirits."
Today was another day where Liora told him another story about dryads. They were not at Chrysanthos Grand Tree but in Elias's chambers.
The crown prince was in his nanny's arms as she rocked the chair. She would speak to him from thirty to an hour before laying him back on the crib.
That was usually what she would do but ever since they had seen Claude at the Chrysanthos Grand Tree, their schedule had changed.
The difference was that Nikolas was in the room as well. Nikolas, his personal attendant and his personal attendant would bother him.
His eyes were green and he inherited Liora's hair color.
He had been coming since last week and he was annoying. He was getting more annoying as the days passed.
"Come on, your highness. Ni.ki. Easy, yes?"
Elias would look at him as if his effort to get him to speak was pathetic. Nikolas would ignore the stare and would persist for the crown prince to speak.
Elias felt no need to speak but he also felt no need to be bothered. So, Elias would flip onto his stomach and awkwardly crawl away.
The first time that he had flipped over, Nikolas made a huge deal about it. He looked like he was moved to tears.
Elias did not understand his attendant.
As Elias flipped on his tummy and tried to crawl away, Ilana had come into the room. Expressionless as ever. Walking to Liora, Ilana announced.
"The dancer from Siodonna is pregnant."
Liora and Nikolas turned to her with wide eyes and Elias stopped struggling from Nikolas's hands.
His chest stung. Elias did not understand why. He already knew he was not needed. Not once was he needed in his previous life so what was the difference with this life?
Why was he even brought to life if his actual father dumped him to his uncle who hated him and did not want to take responsibility?
What was the point of getting the attention of Liora and Nikolas? They were not family. It was probably their job to treat him with respect because he was the 'crown prince.'
In reality they must hate being near him.
Elias was suddenly very tired. He wanted to sleep and never wake up because even if he died he would reborn. What was the point of being reborn anyway?
Elias felt numb as his mind became blank.
