"Off with you now."
We all break off and I run with Uraraka and Izuku to catch up to the blue haired boy I've been worried about.
"Iida!"
Said boy stops in his tracks while we catch up before Izuku continues, "If you're ever feeling hopeless you can tell us, okay? We're friends right?"
Uraraka nodded her head vigorously as Iida slowly turned around.
My eyes widen slightly as I see something in his eyes that I couldn't quite explain. The emotion that glazed over his sapphire eyes created a lump in my throat and my chest tightened slightly.
He gave us a smile that, I could tell, bothered all three of us before he turned around and walked away.
"Come on. It's best we give him sometime, Deku, Y/n."
Izuku nodded at Uraraka's words as he stared at his classmates back, "Yeah. Iida's strong. I'm sure we have nothing to worry about."
I stayed quiet as they walked away and, by the sight of my still body, they looked back at me with a questioning look.
"Y/n? Are you coming?"
Uraraka's words seemed to have stopped Iida's movements, but I didn't notice as I turned to the girl, "Actually, my ride is this way. Good luck to the both of you and keep in touch okay?" My eyes shifted to Izuku's green ones as I finished my sentence and he seemed to have understood what I was implying.
His eyes widened before nodding with a knowing glance, "Right. Good luck Y/n."
A small smile appeared on my face as I bid the two a farewell, ignoring Uraraka's confused glances between Izuku and I. I jog up to catch up with Iida and watch as his eyebrows furrow as we walk in silence to the same bus. We enter the bus and sit down in the back.
I leaned my head back and closed my eyes before taking a deep breath in and out. My eyes slowly opened as my gaze shifts to my classmate next to me.
"Why?"
I hum in a questioning tone as I look out the window.
"Why are you here? Why choose this agency?"
My (e/c) orbs shift to the boy questioning me only to lock eyes with his beautiful yet painfilled blue eyes, "I could ask you the same thing."
Iida flinched as he averted my knowing stare, "My brother never deserved something like this. It's Hero Killer: Stain who deserves to be in a hospital, not my brother. My brother was a hero-"
I interrupt him as I put my hand on his shoulder, "And he still is."
His lip quivers slightly and I can tell he's on the verge of crying, "I...I thought he was going to die. I remember...I remember asking myself why good people like him die everyday."
I shake my head as I remember Itsuki's family along with many other innocent people I've watched die, "Death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints. It's a greedy bastard. Instead of focusing on that, be glad that death spared your brother. He's alive right now and that's all that matters."
Iida pursed his lips together and couldn't help but give me a pained look that felt like an arrow to my heart. Anyone could see that the boy is unable to speak anymore at just one look in his eyes.
I move my body closer to his as my hand goes to the back of his head, gently pushing him into my embrace. His shoulders shook as he silently cried into my shoulder while I held him close, "Some battles cant be fought alone, Iida. In life you'll fall down many holes. Some you'll be able to get out on your own and others you'll need a little more help. That's what friends are for. And I'm all of your classmates, including me, would love to help you anytime its needed."
