Today I woke up feeling whole, full and unabridged.
It felt good to be held.
It felt good to do the holding.
My best moments happen on a swing set.
Today I will cook a meal.
Today I will make my bed.
Today I will bleach my hair.
at 8:15 am I picked up my cellphone and called my brother.
"Hello?"
"Hi!"
"You need something from me? I'm kind of busy"
"I just miss you."
"Aw, Bug. I miss you too. How are things going?"
"Better."
"I love to hear it. I promise I'll come to see you soon, I'll bring snacks"
"I can't wait."
"I love you Bug, but I gotta get going."
"I love you too, buh bye."
"Buh bye."
It seems that phone calls with my brother always run short.
Just under 40 seconds.
I know he won't come to see me, but I love him too much to hold it against him.
at 8:17 I sit down at my computer, feeling that lovely familiar pain in my hips.
at 8:18 I buy a new comforter for my bed and feel overwhelming satisfaction.
at 8:25 I find a recipe for bacon sheet pan pancakes.
at 8:30 I order pancake batter and bacon from the grocery store.
at 8:38 I lie back down in bed and smile about Miguel.

Mystery / ThrillerLovebug is compulsive. Lovebug is simple. Lovebug is mind numbingly bored. (I abandoned this story and don't care for it very much but I think it's still worth a read)
