Prom Incident Part 2

Recap: Ash, Yazzie, Destini, Hayes and Taylor go to prom where Ash catches Jordan cheating on her. She runs out of the school, to the bridge where she's about to attempt suicide when she gets hit by a car. She is now in the hospital. The nurse, Kelly, asks how she is, Ash tells her she's heartbroken and Matt overhears her.

"why are you heartbroken?" Matt asks and I shake my head "Ash, please" he says, frowning. Fuck! I hate when he does this to me. -.-
Since I'm not talking to anyone, I take my phone out and show him a picture from the prom of Jordan making out with another girl, Karina, and he's about to take her shirt off. So basically, he's cheating on me and about to have sex with her in the school bathroom. I'm not going to question it. Just going to try to get over it as quick as I can, no matter what I have to do. Matt doesn't say anything after I show him the picture, he just engulfs me in a huge hug and I hug back. "I'm sorry, Ashley" he mutters in my ear and I kiss his cheek as to say thanks, it's fine.
When I get released from the hospital, I change into a pair of
dark blue short shorts, my Mickey Mouse sweatshirt and red converse before brushing and straightening my hair. I don't bother with make-up since I'll probably end up sleeping most of the day anyways. Instead, I put on my glasses (yes I have glasses, I just don't wear them often) and Matt drives me home since Nash, Cameron, Hayes, Carter have a meeting and Aaron has a date (ooooh!) and both of the Jacks are in the studio. Tay's hanging out with Yasmine and Destini is grounded because she got another detention with her science teacher.
Matt carries me up to my room and we both lay in bed, watching South Park and Family Guy. "Your phone's vibrating" Matt says and I shrug as he rolls over to read the screen "Text from Crawfish 🐠 (fish emoji)" I ignore him "he says if you don't respond within the next 5 minutes he's calling you and if you don't answer the call he's coming over" Matt reads and I shrug as the phone starts ringing and Matt answers it, putting it on speaker.

C: Ashley Johnson!
M: it's Matthew Espinosa, actually *laughs*
C: oh hey Matt! What's up?
M: hanging out with Ash, she's gone mute
C: awe, why? :(
M: I'll explain later, she's real upset
C: Can she come over? Or should I come over there?
M: I don't see her getting up anytime soon... I carried her to the bathroom earlier because she wouldn't get up.
C: *laughs* Okay, I'll be there in 15
M: See you then! We're in her room and the door is unlocked.
C: Kay!

As a new episode of Family Guy comes on (different episode I should say since new episodes don't come on at 4 in the afternoon) Crawford walks in the room with his book bag and a poster board and I give him a confused look "babe, we still have science fair. We've done nothing and this is due next week. Along with our book reports on The Outsiders" he says and I shrug and gesture to my desk "she said she has work in the desk, top drawer on the left" Matt translates and I mouth 'thank you' to him. After Crawford and I finish Science Fair project, I start our project for The Outsiders - looking up the rubric first.
"Welcome back students! We won't be doing much this last quarter but we will have 2 projects. Both are worth 50 points each, together they're worth 100 points! For the first project, you will need to read 'The Outsiders' with a partner. Afterwards, you will need to answer 60 questions about each chapter (5 questions per chapter) on separate pieces of paper, staple them together and turn them in on Friday, May 15th. Part 2 for this assignment is you will be taking an Accelerated Reader test individually on Monday, May 10 and Tuesday, May 11.

"The second assignment is you must read 4 of the following books and take an Accelerated Reader test on them, scoring 80% or higher to pass. If you fail, you must read the book again and re-take the test to pass. You will only be able to re-take a test twice! If you do not want to read the 4 books, you may read 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' then give me a student-friendly definition for the word along with a hand-drawn picture. This assignment is due Thursday, May 14.

"If you fail to complete these assignments, you will have detention during lunch and after school each day until you complete these assignments.

Remember, your Insanity Defence projects are due Wednesday, May 6. You will be presenting on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Since we already finished our Insanity Defence project last week, Crawford and I work on our project for The Outsiders, taking turns answering questions so each of us has answered 30 questions each by time we get done (an hour later).
