When Jax pulled into the lot of TM, he saw Clay's bike along with a few others. Not everyone had made it to the club house yet which was good. Jax wanted to confront clay with this before he took it to the table. He wanted Clay to look him in the eye and tell him that he wasn't responsible. As much as he loved his father and would avenge his death if it came to it, it didn't want to be faced with the task of having to take Clay out.
Parking his bike in its usual spot, Jax walked to the garage and found Clay tinkering on an old pan head that had been brought in for some repairs. The bike itself was in pretty bad shape so it was a complete rebuild which would bet the garage a good amount of profit.
"Hey son. You're early. The rest of the guys aren't here yet. " said Clay.
"We need to talk" said Jax.
"About?" Asked Clay as he placed the tools he had been working with down onto the work bench. He could tell by Jax's tone that something was bothering him.
"JT" said Jax.
"What about him?" Asked Clay.
"I'm only going to ask you this once and please don't lie to me... did you kill him or have him killed?" Asked Jax.
Clay was a master at hiding his emotions but Jax had been around him long enough to know when he had struck a nerve. It was only a split second, but Jax saw the fear in Clay's eyes in that small amount of time.
"Where's this coming from?" Asked Clay.
"Just answer the question" said Jax.
"No, I didn't kill your father" said Clay.
"Did you have him killed?" Asked Jax.
"No. Now where is this coming from?" Asked Clay.
"Let's just say I got some new info about JT's death. Doesn't paint a very flattering picture of you or my mother" said Jax. Again, Clay was quick to hide it but Jax saw the panic.
"What kind of new info?" Asked Clay.
"That's really not your concern." Said Jax.
Stepping forward, Clay got right in Jax's face.
"This is still my club you little shit. That makes anything that happens here my concern. If you think I'm going to let you railroad me over some bullshit information you claim to have, you better think again." Said Clay.
Jax knew Clay was a very dangerous man so he had to tread lightly on this issue. He had hoped that Clay would have admitted his mistake but instead, Clay had lied. Jax just needed to find out if he had lied about killing JT or if he had lied about having JT killed.
"So why don't we take it to the table... see what everyone else thinks?" Asked Jax.
"Let's do that.. tonight." said Clay.
"7pm" said Jax.
The sound of Harley's could be head coming in the block so Jax knew this conversation was over until tonight.

The guys arrived at the location to meet the "special contact" Clay had set up. Meeting in a junk yard outside of Charming meant there would be guns- BIG GUNS- involved.
Jax and Clay were currently standing behind an old beat up Buick that Tig had pulled there with TM's wrecker waiting on the contact. Neither of them said a word to the other. The tension between them had to be obvious.
Two Hispanic guys walked from behind one of the lifts and towards Clay and Jax.
What the fuck has clay got us involved with? Thought Jax.
"Romeo. Good to see you again brother" said Clay as the two Hispanic men got closer.
"Good to see you too Clay. And this must be Jax" said Romeo as he looked to Jax.
Jax just shook his head in agreement.
After all the introductions were made, and the guns were shown, Romeo dropped the bomb on Jax. In exchange for such a good price on guns, SAMCRO would mule heroin to Stockton. This first run was set up for Wednesday of the following week.
SAMCRO had never been in the drug trade, they had actually been the ones trying to keep Charming clean and drug free. Now, Clay had gone and made a deal with the Galindo Cartel to mule heroin in exchange for top dollar on their guns.
Once everything was settled, Jax and clay stood off to the side, away from the other guys.
"Are you serious right now? Drugs Clay?" Said Jax.
"Cut it out with the self righteous bullshit. I have maybe a year left to ride. I need to make some cash while I still can." Said Clay.
"And that's the very same reason why McGee was killed... he got greedy. What makes this any different Clay? Do the guys know we will be muling?" said Jax.
"No, we vote on it tonight" said Jax.
"So you made a deal with the goddamn cartel, without getting the clubs input? Their going to vote this down Clay. SAMCRO has never been part of the drug business and the guy won't let this pass" said Jax
"Then we have to make sure we change their minds. I would sure hate to see anything happen to you or your family by the hand of the cartel" said Clay.
Moving fast, Jax rounded on Clay, his fist connecting with the left side of Clays face. The hit knocked Clay off balance, causing him to stumble.
"Don't you ever threaten me or my family again!" Yelled Jax.
"What the fuck is going on here" said Tig as he knelt down beside Clay. Tig had always been Clay's right hand. Of course he would think Clay needed his help.
"I'll let the president here explain it over chapel tonight." Said Jax. Before walking towards his bike, he kicked rock and dust at clay.
"What the fuck Clay?" Asked Tig.
"Seems the prince had his panties in a bunch" said Clay.
"He seems pretty pissed to me" said Juice.
"We'll discuss the Prince and today's meeting at chapel tonight." Said Clay as Tig helped him to his feet.
