The apartment remained silent as the two occupants slept, the sheets covered their naked bodies, the soft sounds of their breathing seemed to be the only sound heard when and if listened closely. The black-haired man stirred a little as he woke up, his eyes still adjusting to the light that poured through the windows, he looked over at the woman sleeping beside him, he observed her breathing as she inhaled and exhaled, he knew he looked borderline creepy. He looked around the room to see all their clothes scattered around and tried to find his pants quickly spotting them hanging on one of the lamps in the room. Quietly reaching them he quickly wore them, the thought of the walk of shame seemed to run his mind when his eyes caught the books on the shelf, all the books related to either General Surgery or Oncology.

"Swooping around stranger's house is said to be creepy," He turned around to find the woman propped on her forearm looking at him.

"I am not swooping and I am not a stranger," He said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah,"

"What's my name?" She asked.

"Your name's......" He trailed.

"And you say we're not strangers," She smirked.

"Recee? Rachel? I know it starts with R," He said as he put his hands on his hips.

"I think it's better if we don't know each other's names," She said as she sat up covering herself with the sheet.

"Really? I thought we had fun last night,"

"I don't think so, I am not looking to be in a relationship, this was just a one night stand,"

"Why not, was it not good?"

"It was good but-"

"But I just got out of a serious relationship?" He said as he picked up his shirt.

"How did you know?"

"The guilt on your face," He said shrugging.

"It is that obvious?"

"Yeah, so why did you break up?" He asked as he picked up one of her books and flipped through it.

"Why should I tell you?"

"Come on, did he cheat on you? Or did you cheat on him?" He asked very interestedly. She just looked at him blankly.

"He went to Syria,"

"Ah, the problems of a long-distance relationship," He waved his hands as if gesturing a quote.

"And then he died,"

"That's a little longer than you would want from a relationship,"

Renee walked through the corridors of the surgical floor when she found the interns lurking around the nurse's station, their focus seemed to on Richard's office, their beady eyes looking for any clue on what was going inside. Richard's office opened to him and Colin Marlow walking out when the interns immediately looked down trying to focus more on their work.

"What is Colin Marlow doing here?" Renee asked Preston who was also there trying to talk to his fiancee.

"I am not sure but he is one of the Chief's candidate,"
