"I don't know why we have to spend Thanksgiving at your parent's house, Derek?"
"Yeah, we were going to have sushi and sex all night,"
Renee, Derek, Mark and Addison were standing outside The Shepherd household, they could hear all the commotion which was going on inside, the house was supposed to be a reunion of all the Shepherds, their husbands and the kids. Mark and Renee weren't happy when Derek and Addison extended the invitation to them as he didn't want to suffer alone, Mark had the perfect plan made out for him and Renee which included a date in a Japanese restaurant and of course a lot of sex.
Derek turned at both of them with a glare which immediately stopped the quarrelling between the couple, Addison who was behind him just shrugged, Addison was very keen on going to the Thanksgiving dinner as it was the only chance to impress Mama Shepherd who wasn't a huge Addison fan.
"But family comes first," Mark said as he pushed Renee in front of himself and in return she rolled her eyes.
"Listen, I know you had plans to coitus tonight but-" Derek started saying as he looked over at Renee and Mark.
"Coitus? What are you? An old British priest?" Mark laughed.
"Okay, fine, sex, but this important for me and Addison, it's the first time we are meeting the family......as a couple. And that is why I need you two to take the tension off of us, can you do that?"
"Tension off, I don't know man, what happened after me and Nancy-" Mark shrugged casually before realising what he just spoke.
"You and Nancy?" Derek and Renee asked at the same time, one sounded curious, the other was angry.
"Hello, kids, why are you standing outside, it's getting cold, come on inside," Mrs Shepherd said as she smiled not noticing the tension.
"Come on," Mark said as he tried to place his hand on Renee's back which she immediately slapped off.
"Don't touch me,"
The Shepherd household was warm and cosy, to say the least as it was filled with many people. Renee was standing by the drinks station with one of Derek's sister, who she was thought could be Kathleen or Liz but she wasn't sure. She could see Mark standing on the other side of the room chatting with Nancy's husband, John but ever so often he would glance in the direction of Renee who would deliberately turn to look the other way. Derek was sitting on the couch surrounded by his two nieces and nephews while Addison was sipping on wine as she chatted away with Carolyn and by the looks of it it wasn't going on very well as Mama Shepherd looked like she needed someone to get her out of the conversation with Addison.
