"Mr Nelson, take a deep breath,"
Mr Nelson looked at his doctors who had finished doing his surgery, the surgery he believed that he wasn't going to make through, however, the doctors in front of him Dr Foster and Dr Sloan made it possible. He took a deep breath as told by his oncologist and thanked the Lord above him and looked over at Dr Foster who gave him a smile as the nurses helped him sit up straight.
"I hope you're feeling better,"
"Thank you, Dr Foster," He said.
"Don't thank me yet, Mr Nelson, we have won the 80% of the battle the remaining 20% will be won with the help of radiation and chemo,"
"I'll lose my hair?" Mr Nelson asked.
"Yeah, I'm afraid so,"
"I think I'll look good without the hair, right. The bald will suit me,"
"Look at you, it's like a completely different person,"
"Yeah, well cancer's a bitch,"
Lexie and Mark were standing behind Renee as she talked to Mr Nelson, Lexie had a small smile on her face as she watched the man repeatedly thank the attending, she had seen how paranoid or afraid Mr Nelson was, he was sure that the surgery was going to kill him but here he was ready to leave the hospital in about a week's time. She looked on her right to see Dr Sloan standing there yawning as if he wasn't interested in what was going on in the room, she scoffed loudly before looking back at the oncologist.
"What?" He asked her.
"Nothing, you-you seem very uninterested in how you saved the man's life,"
"I am not uninterested, we are surgeons, you get used to it, saving people's lives,"
"You could at least pretend to be nice," Lexie argued.
"He's Mark, being nice isn't in his character," Renee smiled sarcastically as Mark returned her sarcastic smile as he walked out of the room.
"Is he always like this?"
Reyansh walked through the passageway and towards ER, he avoided meeting anybody's eyes as he walked towards the ambulance bay, where he found Karev, Grey, Yang and Callie standing to wait for the ambulances to come in. Callie looked at him and gave him a greeting smile which he returned wearingly and turned the attention to the empty ambulance bay, he hadn't talked to Renee in a minute and only visited Ilaria only a few times at the daycare.
"So, do you have any idea what the Trauma is?" Callie asked the attending.
"No," He answered shortly and ignored the look Callie gave him.
