I got home from school that day and didn't even bother to go to my parents and tell them what happened

They wouldn't question the bruise, it was just that often that I fell flat on my face :(

Plus they were too wrapped up in their work most of the time, I had to admit it, we were a pretty rich family, I mean my room took up half a floor and it wasn't the biggest one. Jaden had the other half, my parents had the entire third floor and then there was all othe other stuff on the first

I did have a really nice couple of windows in my room

But one window had never really made sense to me

This window was exactly opposite the other house, and opposite to another window, leading into someone else's room

See why it didn't make sense to me ?

Anyway, I won't complain, it's fun to have conversations through the window with the person next door, because most of the time it ended up being someone young.

I wonder who moved into this room out of tony and ondreaz...

Assuming it was one of them of course

I kept the curtains on that window closed almost always, I honestly only opened it to have a chat with the person next door. But otherwise I didn't really like them being able to see into my room

There really wasn't much distance between the two windows

Someone my size could EASILY jump from one to the other, but not me

I would crash
And burn

Because that's who I was

I decided I'd go see who had the room opposite mind

I drew back the curtains of my room and to my suprise and utter terror

Ondreaz was there

Lying on his bed

He hadn't seen me and I drew the curtains again

I texted him and asked him to come to the window facing the other house, he was confused, but agreed, he said he'd be there in a minute, so I opened my curtains and saw his closed

I swung my legs out the window and sat on the ledge, I did this a lot and wasn't scared anymore

And that's when he opened his curtains to see a very messy, lazy me

I had shoved my hair into a messy bun and put on a big T-shirt and shorts, and hadn't been bothered to cover my bruise

He smiled

"Hi" I said, giggling.

"Hi" he said, giving me his signature smile

"So I figured out that this was your room" I started "and I thought you should know that I love having chats through the window, so just text me when you wanna talk and I'm here" I finished up my little speech and he laughed

HE

LAUGHED

"Who would have thought that I would end up next door, locker next to yours, same high school and the window across" he laughed

"Well if you wanna switch lockers sure, I doubt you wanna transfer high schools, but hey, nothing stopping you, and considering you JUST moved in here, I doubt your moving to a new house, but you can swap rooms with tony" I said, bluntly

"Maybe he'd be better conversation that you" I stated

When I saw the terror on his face I couldn't help myself

I burst out laughing, holding my sides and dying

That's when I tumbled off the ledge backwards into my room

And I heard him start laughing

I got up, dusted off and went back to the sill, and he was literally leaning up against a wall laughing

I joined in

I'm clumsy, and it's funny

"Oh my god grace you're literally the clumsiest person I've ever met" he breathed through his laughs

"Oh I know" I chocked on the imaginary water that was in my hands "it's why you met me so I'm not saying I'm not happy I am"

"True"

We sat on the window sill for hours, just talking

That's all we needed to do

Talk.

We laughed, we even teared up at some points, but by the end of it, we knew each other so much better

Ondreaz's point of view

She asked me to look out a window and I saw her sitting there on a window sill

I couldn't believe I actually lived right there next door to her and had a window to talk through

She explained how she loved to talk through the windows and I laughed

I

LAUGHED

oh god ondreaz how stupid are you

I told her how much we had in common, the high school, the lockers, the houses, and the windows

And she bluntly stated everything I could do to get away from her

Honestly I was terrified

Then she laughed, she laughed so hard and it was more of a laugh than I'd ever seen from her

It was a real laugh

I just stared for a while till she tumbled into her bedroom and I couldn't hold back

And I burst out laughing

We agreed at how clumsy she was and then spent hours talking together through the window

But every time she swayed a bit too hard and almost fell but steadied herself

My heart skipped a beat

I'd already seen her hurt and there was not a chance in hell that I was seeing it again for a while

But we talked for hours, and it was so amazing
Her smile was so beautiful and it lit up the whole world in my eyes

And when it started to get dark and cold and she went inside and closed her window and curtains

I instantly wanted more of that time together

Just another minute

Hour

Whatever, just another second with her laughs would last me a lifetime
