I walked downstairs and saw everyone waiting for me.
It was time.
I looked at my mother and I could feel how much she wanted things to go back to the way they were, the one in which there was no war or any of this arrange marriage. But we both knew how impossible that was.
I could see my father who was standing right beside Charles's dad looking like a manly king. But I knew my dad I could see through him and tell how much I really meant to him, I could hear every cell of his body telling me how sorry he was for doing this to me and how he is so proud of me but nevertheless it wasn't really his fault, I chose this.
Charles offered me his hand and I slowly walked down to my mother and father and held them so close to me that there was not much space left between us.
I know I might sound like a freak who worships her parents and kingdom but I was not like this.
Just like it is said we never really realise how important somethings are to us until we lose them.
My mother walked me to the carriage and I held her trying to feel warmth, her warmth and whispered,"Take care of dad and yourself, I love you."
All my belongings were kept in the back trunk of the carriage and the precious bow and arrow set that my dad presented me was kept right under my seat. It made me feel so much closer to him.
The carriage ride was pretty awkward as Charles was sitting right infront me and I was looking out of the small window in the dark but it was not very long when we reached the castle
