its been half a year since jeno and amy has made their relationship official. after many months of withholding his feelings, he decided it was time to come out from the shadows and confront the boy who stole his heart many years ago.
it was only early morning, the sun still rising from the east and amy called her boyfriend to accompany her throughout the whole day.
jaemin gripped onto jeno's wrists—forbidding him from leaving the house. his sudden confidence leaving him, his gaze fixated on the ground rather than the handsome white-haired boy in front of him.
jeno stood confused as they stood there for a couple moments of silence. seeing the younger's nervous state, he trailed one hand under jaemin's chin and bent his neck.
jaemin swallowed a lump in his throat whilst a light shade painted his cheeks upon locking eyes with his crush.
❝jaemin?❞hearing his name roll off beautifully on the latter's tongue made his heart drop and his palms begin to sweat. ❝what's wrong? do you need anything?❞
the robot withdrew from headspace, almost letting out a whimper at the loss of warmth when jeno detached his hand from his chin.
❝we-well um—i was w-wondering if...if you—❞he felt at loss of words, mentally blaming his speech activator. he was about to speak again but was unfortunately cut off.
❝i'm sorry but can you like—hurry up? i was suppose to meet amy at her house ten minutes ago,❞jeno checked the time on his phone and looked at the younger with a pointed gaze.
❝w-well yeah sorry...i was just wondering if we c-could perhaps hang out with me today?❞he looked up bashfully from beneath his long lashes and bit his lip nervously.
jeno chuckled and replied, ❝sure you can come along and you can join amy and i for some—❞
no! heat spread across his face in embarrassment at his sudden outburst. ❝...no...no amy—just you and i...for a c-change.❞
he gained sudden interest in his feet and avoided the other's gaze. anxiousness built up within his stomach as he anticipated his response.
but when jeno didn't respond, he looked up and his heart broke as he immediately knew answer.
