Emily's POV
A few minutes later, I saw Greg and the lawyer approaching me. Greg looked frustrated.
"What happened? We had been waiting for you since yesterday." I asked nervously.
"I called Mr. Sullivan...."
"I ordered him to wait. Cody needed a good lesson." Greg intervened. "How the hell did he get himself into trouble again?" Greg asked, fuming.
"It wasn't Cody's fault. This was that bas.... that man's fault. He was drunk and tried to...hit on me. As much as I tried to get rid of me, he didn't understand and kept bothering me. When Cody saw it,...." I paused, breathing deeply and continued. "And now we are here."
"Oh." Greg mumbled. "Rupert, handle this, please." He said firmly as he turned towards the lawyer.
"Don't worry, Mr. Sullivan." He nodded and walked towards the police officer.
I folded my arms over my chest, biting my lower lip nervously.
"Don't worry. Rupert is the best in his field. He will help Cody." Greg reassured me, giving me a compassionate smile as he placed his hand on my arm. I nodded, sighing.
Twenty minutes later, I saw Cody walking out of the room. I smiled happily and rushed towards him.
"I was so worried." I admitted as I hugged him tightly.
"Don't worry. I am okay, Em." He said softly, stroking my hair as he pulled back slightly and kissed my lips.
"You should not get into a fight with him." I commented, cupping his cheek.
"I will let no one touch what is mine." He hissed between gritted teeth.
I sighed and shook my head, smiling. "You know sometimes, it is so difficult with you. You like a wild child, getting yourself into trouble again and again." I commented, amused and pointed to the police officer.
"I didn't say it would be easy." He said arrogantly and winked at me as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I grinned happily and kissed his lips.
"Well, now I have to give a statement to my father." Cody said, sighing and gave me a playful grin. I chuckled, shaking my head as he grabbed my hand and led as towards his father.

"Would you like something to eat?" I asked Cody as we walked into our house while holding his hand.
"No, I just want to take a shower." He said, running his hand through his hair; he looked tired. I nodded, stroking his cheek. He placed a soft kiss on my forehead and went upstairs.
Then I went to the kitchen to make breakfast for Cody. I knew he didn't eat anything in the police station. I decided to make his favorite pancakes.
After finishing to cook the pancakes, I placed the plate and a cup of coffee on the tray and went upstairs.
When I walked into the bedroom, Cody was drying his hair with a towel, another towel wrapped around his waist. As he saw me, he gave me a charming smile.
"I made your favorite pancakes." I informed, giving him a warm smile.
"Thank you, wifey." He said, winking at me playfully.
I smiled and placed the tray on the bedside table. When I turned around, I hit Cody's firm chest. He instantly wrapped his strong arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him and pressed his bulge into my stomach.
"I missed you." He whispered into my ear huskily and placed a soft kiss on my neck.
"Really?" I asked playfully as I wrapped my arms around his neck and grinned in amusement.
"Yes, there was no woman." He replied, sighing and gave me a mischievous grin.
"Jerk!" I hit his chest playfully while grinning. He chuckled and brushed his lips against my lips.

When I woke up, I was in Cody's arms. He was sleeping peacefully while his hand rested around me. I lifted my head up slightly and stroked his cheek gently, smiling. I didn't know how this devilishly handsome jerk managed to steal my heart so quickly and unexpectedly, but I was madly in love with him now. Unfortunately, I knew it wasn't mutual. It was just a game for him; he never told me he had feelings for me. Yes, I hadn't told him too, but how could I tell him?! Despite the fact that he was so romantic, caring and thoughtful towards me, I was sure that it was one-sided, and this game was going to end in a few months.
Actually, I didn't think our relationship would last this long; I was so afraid that he would get bored with me in the end of a month as Jenna told me about his past relationship, but we were fine together. More than fine. However, now I had another fear in my heart that after this agreement ended, I would lose him forever. It arched my heart. Just three months before everything ends.
I sighed, depressed and grabbed his arm, pulling it away without waking him up and went to the bathroom.
Once I finished taking a shower, I wrapped a towel around my body and walked out of the shower. When I went back to the bedroom, Cody was still sleeping on his stomach, giving me the full view of his sculpted back. I smiled tenderly and went to the walk-in closet.
After getting ready, I placed a soft kiss on his cheek and went to the company.
I was checking my emails at the company when my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and looked at the screen. As I saw a message from Cody, I smiled happily.
'How about dinner with me, Tristan and Mila?'
'With pleasure.'
I sent the message, smiling and placed my phone on the desk. A few seconds later, it buzzed again.
'I will pick you up from the company. I will leave the company early today.'
'Ok. See you.'
'See you, Feisty.'
I grinned, shaking my head and placed my phone on the desk. Then I continued to check my emails, a bright smile plastered on my face.
When we arrived at the restaurant, Tristan and Mila were already here, waiting for us. After greeting them, a waiter approached us with the menus.
After finishing our main course, we ordered the deserts.
"Excuse me, I have to go to the restroom." Mila said, placing her hand on Tristan's shoulder as she stood up. Tristan nodded, giving her a tender smile.
Suddenly, Cody's phone rang. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked at the screen.
"Excuse me, I have to pick up. It is Dad." He informed as he stood up and picked up his phone, walking away.
I was moving my fingertip up and down my cup, lost in my thoughts. I couldn't stop myself from thinking about my agreement with Cody.
"Is everything okay between you and Cody?" Tristan asked, interrupting my thoughts and gave me an inquiring look.
"Umm... Yeah. We are fine." I mumbled and forced a smile.
He smiled knowingly and leaned towards me, resting his elbows on the table.
"I should tell you something." He confessed, smiling.
"What?" I asked, intrigued.
"Cody really loves you. I know probably, you know it. But I just want to reassure you." He said honestly and winked at me playfully.
