Chapter 3: What are Feelings?

Last night was totally unexpected, confusing, and probably a mistake. Alexandra felt like she betrayed Sofia by being with Chase, the reason she feels betrayed Sofia was because she met him so they could hit it off together, but it just didn't work out. Chase really seemed like he liked Alexandra as more than friends, but the thing is, are they true feelings? Or just a hook up?

8 AM: Alexandra feeling guilty for not telling Sofia was happened last night. She got used to telling Sofia every single thing that happens to her, therefore holding this secret will really make this day harder than it usually is. First, she has to deal with Alex, and now she also has to deal with the "Chase feelings". What are feelings though? How do we know if these feelings are real? What if those feelings were wrong? All these questions are in Alexandra's mind, she knows things went by too fast. To her she felt like she wanted to live in the moment and just ignore everything else, but this might be a mistake.

10 AM: First lab in the year, being partners with Alex wasn't as bad as Alexandra thought, but seeing Chase in the same lab as her, partnered up with Kennedy really made her uneasy, what if he likes her more? Alex noticed a difference in her behavior and said in a playful tone, "crushing on me yet?", when he said that Alexandra was in a different world, just looking at Chase and smiling, she didn't even hear what he said, but Alex knew immediately that something was up with them both. Alex laughed and said, "earth to Alexandra???", that's when she came back to him with an embarrassed look and told her that it's nothing, but he knew it was more than nothing, so he told her that he wants to take her somewhere after lab, but she knew it would be a mistake and he would try to get into her heart like he does to all of the girls. Alex kept begging to take Alexandra to a special place, so finally she accepted.

4 PM: Thoughts are all over her mind, where could be that special place, and why is he taking her to that special place, I mean Anastasia looked like she would be the one to go with him. Alex drove to that special place using his golf cart, he told her that he wanted them to work on their lab project, and at the same time get to know each other so this year wouldn't seem so bad and awkward. While he was driving you could see how the wind was blowing on his hair, his perfect hair, perfect smile, and did I mention how his eyes sparkle. He would talk and talk for hours, but Alexandra would be daydreaming and not paying attention, all she would do is nod and tuck her hair in her ear (insert Debby Ryan meme).

Finally, they reached this garden, full of tulips, Alexandra's favorite type of flowers, it was like a fairy tale, there was a seating area in the corner where it was covered with a glass roof that looked like it came from a "Disney Princess" movie. She had to keep in mind that they are here to "study" and not on a date, but who takes someone to a romantic place to "study".

Alex sat close to her, smiling, and telling her, "I bet many guys tell you that you're gorgeous huh?", then proceeded with a wink, Alexandra giggled and just replied with a no. You can tell his intentions weren't to study because they were easily the smartest students in class, they didn't need each other to study, but they needed an excuse to be together, hanging out would mean a different thing if they did that.

Alexandra didn't know what her deal with Chase was since he basically ghosted her after last night, he didn't text her, or even say a thing in class today, which made her think maybe it's a one-time thing. She felt like telling Alex what happened so he would know what to do, usually she tells Sofia everything, but this has to do with her, so she told him what happened. Alex laughed and said he noticed. He didn't seem jealous or anything, but she wanted him to be for some reason. He may be a "bad boy", or just a straight up jerk, he gave great advice.

8 PM: Hours passed by and they didn't notice. Alexandra noticed the time and panicked since she didn't talk to Sofia this whole except for the morning, she knew she would be mad at her. Alex noticed her panicking, then grabbed her arms to calm her down, he looked her in the eyes and told her everything will be alright, she needed to hear these words since she didn't hear them for a long time. After the long stare at each other, she felt like he was going to do something else as he got closer, she felt like he was going to disappoint her and treat her like every girl in class, but he didn't, all he did was hug her, and it felt good, maybe he wasn't a bad person after all, maybe this year wasn't going to suck being his partner.

9 PM: Alexandra reached the dorm and ran to talk to Sofia and apologize. While she was walking through the hall, a tall guy leaves one of the girls' dorms with his clothes in his hands, basically sneaking out before someone catches him. Alexandra quickly went to hide before this guy sees her, and here he turns around, he was none other than Chase. She was shocked, he did the worst thing possible, he hooked up with a random girl that was basically dorm neighbors with her, all that was in her mind was "should I face him now, or should I just leave it". She came to a conclusion with walking by as if she just saw him.

As she walked, Chase got scared and embarrassed really quick. All he said was, "I can explain", but you can see the disappointment in Alexandra's eyes, and you can hear it in her voice as it was breaking down telling him, "don't bother". Chase really broke her heart, last time he saw her he probably wanted more, more than kissing, he wanted a one-night stand. His excuse was he heart that she was out with Alex, but this wasn't an excuse since nothing was between her and Alex. She felt like it was time to tell Sofia what happened, as she was leaving him, he grabs her arm forcefully, and begging. Alexandra was telling him in a scared voice to let go of her, but he wouldn't, he looked drunk, he wasn't the nice guy Chase, luckily a tall mysterious guy, tanned, had brown eyes, brown fluffy hair, and with cute glasses, came by and just shouted "let her go!", he pulled Chase's hand away from her arm and punched him which was unexpected. This whole day took a turn, and who is this mysterious guy.
