Chances Between Us

A quick glance from the busy streetlights around the area makes me feel calm, its a cold night. Mas lalo ko pang naramdaman yun' lalo na at naka- tshirt at pajamas lang ako. I smiled while taking a look at the hotdog sandwich he gave me, he knows its my favorite. As soon as the call ended, he texted me that he's on his way to my dorm.

We stopped at the park near the dorm, iilan na lang ang tao doon. Pinili naming umupo sa isang wooden bench, nasa bandang dulo ito at pinagigitnaan ng dalawang puno. He's still wearing his uniform, sabi nya ay dumeretso na sya dito pagkagaling sa isang group project.
Pinasadahan nya ako ng tingin, mabilis nya rin namang inalis 'yon.

"Dapat nag-jacket ka, giniginaw ka tuloy," sabi nya habang hindi parin tumitingin sakin.
"Hindi naman sobrang lamig," i replied loudly, trying to make him look at me.

I remembered how we fought last time, and its terrifying. It made me feel so guilty, dahil alam ko naman na ako talaga ang mas may kasalanan. I keep on making decisions without telling him, and i feel bad if he did the same to me. Im so unfair.

"Its this time, where we meet people and eventually just fell in love with them." i muttered. "Im happy for you, kev," i smiled at him.

He didn't answer, but he looked at me.

"But were still the best duo okay?" i cheerfully said, nanatili parin ang tingin nya sakin.

"Duo amp, ano to ml?" he replied.
I glared at him, madrama na sana e tapos ipapasok nya na naman yang' mga jokes nya! kainis.

He stayed silent after that.

"Sana tama 'tong desisyon natin, sana nasa tamang tao tayo," he simply said.  Bumalik na ang tingin nya sa malayo, tahimik na nag-iisip.

"Sana nga," i whispered.

He handed me his left hand, walang pag-aalinlangan ko 'yong tinanggap.
He smiled to me, making me feel at ease. Pabiro nyang kinurot ang pisngi ko, i glared at him for that pero agad din kaming sabay natawa.

Hawak-kamay kaming naglakad pabalik, nagkwekwentuhan na parang kaming dalawa lang ang nagkakaintindihan.

We talked about different things while on our way home, he told me that 'Jazz' is pretty unpredictable at first but she's actually fun to be with. Sabi nya hindi naman ganun ka-arte ito, kumakain din ng streetfoods at marunong makisama sa mga kaibigan nya. I smiled, hearing him telling things about her makes my heart feel at least-- secured.

I also told him that hendrix is not that bad, he is actually cool. He asked me about things we did together, sabi nya gagamitin nya raw yun' na damoves kay jazz. There's so much things i wanted to tell him, but unfortunately i needed to go inside because its late.

The day after that, its weekend. We got a date later at 10am, kaya busy ako ngayon sa paghahanap ng maisusuot. Ky and Ade said that im a bit weird these days, i ignored them and just replied that im busy thinking about something. They both have different things to do so they left early.

I choosed to wear a black off-shoulder lettuce top partnered with high-waisted fitted denim-jeans. Nag-black lang ako na medium heels, tapos bucket shoulder-bag na maroon. I think that i look pretty good, then i smiled at the mirror infront of me.

Though im not so sure what did he planned for today, i got a feeling that it would surely be good. I hurriedly made my way out after seeing his text na nasa baba na sya, i smiled while walking towards him na nakatayo sa tabi ng sasakyan nya.
