From then on, Poland would sing a lullaby to Germany every night before he went to bed. It would help him sleep.

After a few days, Poland managed to buy a few things for Germany.

A bed, some furniture, and some toys to play with.

Germany would watch Poland as he placed things around, and would even offer to help when Poland was struggling.

One day, Poland was trying to hang something up but couldn't reach. Before Germany could offer to help, Poland flew up with his wings and placed what he needed to place.

Germany seemed very fascinated with Poland's wings and asked him if he could see them again.

Poland: What's so special about my wings?

Germany: They're really pretty, and the only other person I've seen with wings is Mr. UN.

Poland: True. I suppose having wings isn't that common.

Germany: I want wings......

Poland: Nah. They're too much work. Trust me, you don't want them. They're a blessing and a curse really. Plus, I can't exactly take them off and give them to you...

Germany: Oh ok.....

Poland giggled at Germany's mild disappointment and playfully poked his glasses, making the child giggle too. They then went and decorated the rest of Germany's room and then called it a day's work.

Poland was exhausted, but Germany still had a lot of energy so he let him play outside while he watched some T.V

While Germany was playing outside and picking some nice flowers, he was suddenly hit by a rock.

He then turned around, only to have his glasses smashed in by another flying rock. His broken glasses fell down and Germany was now blind and defenseless. His surroudings were too blurry so it was too dangerous to run away.

He ended up getting taunted and laughed at, by what sounded like a pair of kids, while getting pelted with rocks and pebbles.

"That's what you get for invading us, freak!"

"Monster!"

"What you did to us sucked, so now here's our revenge!"

"Demon!"

"Devil!"

They continued to shout at him while throwing rocks, while all Germany could do was cry and lay there like a sitting duck.

Eventually, Poland saw what was happening and shooed the children hurting Germany away.

He walked over to Germany and noticed the broken glasses. He then saw Germany bruised and crying from being pelted with rocks.

Poland picked him up and carried him inside, so no one would hurt him while he cleaned his bruises.

Poland realized that raising Germany would indeed be hard, but not for the reasons he had originally thought.
