Who was he?

Germany was still crying into Poland's shoulder as he carried him. Germany still couldn't see where he was and wasn't 100% sure if it was Poland who was carrying him.

But when Poland set him down to get things from the medicine cabinet, Germany felt him sitting on the familiar couch he used to sleep on, reassuring him that he was safe. He was still scared and really wanted Poland to come back, because he couldn't see anything.

Poland came back and sprayed something on where Germany was bruised. It stung for a moment occasionally, since some of those bruises were very bad. Poland would then put a bandaid over the bruise.

Germany couldn't see where Poland was, so he held a hand out, hoping Poland would hold it.

His wish was granted, and Poland kept Germany close, pulling him into a hug.

Poland: I'm sorry I let them hurt you Niemcy.

Germany: It's ok. It wasn't you who was throwing the rocks at me. And if you weren't there, I would've had even more rocks thrown at me.

Poland: .....We should get you some new glasses......

Germany: Thank you Polen.

Poland: You're welcome Niemcy.

Poland picked Germany up and carried him into his car and drove to the eye doctor to help pick out glasses for Germany, since he didn't know what glasses he needed to buy, and was doubtful as to whether Germany knew himself.

After Gernany got a new pair of glasses, they went home. Germany, seemed like he had something on his mind though and Poland could tell.

Poland: What's the matter Niemcy?

Germany: Those kids that hurt me.... They said I did something really bad to them and that I'm a monster. I didn't see them or recognize their voices. I don't know what they meant.

Poland's look of concern turned into one of panic and fear. He then tried to go back to looking worried, but Germany had already seen the huge sudden change in expression.

Poland: Oh.... Well-uh... *sigh* Look, Niemcy, your father was not the nicest person-

Germany: I know.

Poland: Wait. You know??

Germany: Dad used to hit me a lot.....

Poland: ......oh. I'm so sorry.

Germany: ....Did he hit other people too? And what does "invade" mean?

Poland: Look, your father did a lot worse things than you might ever understand. Not even we are completely sure as to why he did it. Maybe he was just insane? But he did do a lot of not nice things to others, me included-

Germany: THEN I HATE HIM! ANYONE WHO HURTS YOU IS A VERY BAD PERSON!

Poland was shocked at Germany's sudden explosive reaction, but he couldn't say it hadn't had a valid reason behind it. He was just glad that Germany wanted to be nothing like his father, which put some closure on him.

Poland: Yeah.... He was a very bad person. And invade means to attack someone with a military. Which hurts a lot....

Germany was still seething in rage at hearing what his dad did. He hated him so much for hurting him, and so many others, but he hated him most for hurting Poland of all people! Anyone who hurt Poland deserved to be given a death sentence in his book, but he wouldn't tell Poland that. He didn't want to sound extreme, but he was just so angry! How could anyone think of hurting Poland when he was so nice and caring!

Poland could tell that Germany was full of anger and confusion, so he pulled him into a hug to calm him back down.

Poland: Please.... Never think what your father did was your fault. No matter what anyone says.

Germany: Don't worry, I won't.
