Sorry for the long wait. I've just been feeling a little out of it. My anxiety has been making my brain run so quickly and making me so tired. I haven't been able to do much other than work and sleep. Even dramas haven't been able to help get me back into the mood to write. Hopefully, this passes soon.
Here's an update though. Please forgive any error you might find along the way.
Arthit could feel a pair of eyes staring at the top of his head. This idiot...
"You might as well take a picture. It'll last longer." Arthit said with a dry tone.
"Really?! Thanks, P'Arthit!"
The idiot actually took out his phone and snapped quick pictures of the annoyed senior.
"Oi! If that's how you're going to be than I'm going home."
Arthit smacked his pen down. First, he was dragged to the second year's place to "study". Now he wasn't even being able to review anything for his finals. To top everything off, he was hungry.
"No! No! No! P'Arthit, I'm sorry. I'll study. I'll study. Don't leave yet. Please?"
He would have totally believed the second year had he not snapped one more picture before putting his phone down.
"Seriously, either you start to study or I'm out that door and you leave me alone from now on." Arthit tried to make his very serious facial expression.
"But, P'Arthit, I can't concentrate. I'm so hungry." Kongpob rested his forehead on his open textbook.
"Is this or isn't this your house? Go make something!" And while you're at it make something for me too.
"But i don't know how to cook, P'."
This time Arthit dropped his pen in shock. "How old are you?!"
"P'Arthit, don't make fun of me."
"You don't know how to cook?! Not even a basic omelette?!"
Kongpob pouted at the senior's words. "I've been banned from the kitchen. I'm not allowed to even think about boiling some water for instant noodle. I burn everything..."
Arthit just sat shocked at the other's words. "You burn water? How is that even possible?"
"I forget that I even put the water on the stove top..."
Arthit just blinked at the revelation. "How about I make something?"
Kongpob snapped up straight. "Really?! Yes! Come this way, P'Arthit!"
Kongpob dragged Arthit in the direction of the forbidden room.
Arthit was no chef but he was able to make something to survive. He found leftover rice and after making sure it was okay with Kongpob to grab, he heated it up to go along with a simple omelette.
Based on Kongpob's expression of joy at the first bite, you would think Arthit made a gourmet meal. Though the senior couldn't help but feel a little warm inside when he saw Kongpob enjoying their meal.
"This is really good, P'Arthit."
"It would be better if you had some chili peppers."
Kongpob crossed his arms forming an X. "Negative. I don't like spicy food. This is perfect. I think this is my new favorite meal."
Arthit snickered at the younger male. "You're a baby. Who doesn't like a little bit of spice?"
Kongpob rolled his bottom lip in and bit on to it. "P'Arthit, I can assure you, I'm not a baby. If you want we can go upstairs and I can prove it to you. Or I can prove it right here but we run the risk of being walked in on since my mom, sisters, and aunty should be home soon from shopping."
"Just shut up already and eat your food. You still have to review for your English final." Arthit pretended to not understand or even hear anything being suggested. The red tint on his ears revealed his embarrassment.
Kongpob grinned before going back to his plate. Baby steps. He just knew that the pale man was slowly getting used to him and their possible (for sure, more like it) sexual relationship.
Two hours later Arthit put an end to their study session. Kongpob had managed to finish all his homework and Arthit used Kongpob's review to refresh himself on the basics of his own work. Arthit was extremely satisfied with staying on his review schedule.
A soft voice made the two turn to see a gentle looking woman making way to them. She patted Kongpob's head. "I should probably take a picture of this. My Kongpob is actually studying and doing his homework."
"Maaaeee!" Kongpob pouted before giving his mother a hug. His eyes went to Arthit when he heard a snicker while the other was putting his stuff away.
"So who's your friend, Kongpob?"
Arthit froze at the question. Knowing the younger man, he was about to say something outrages and he was scared he knew what was going to be said.
"Mae, this is P'Arthit. He's a senior of mine from school that has been tutoring us over this passed few months. He's also my boyfriend. You know, the one I was mentioning over dinner last week."
And there he was back to enforcing a relationship that Arthit had no idea when it started.
"So this is the famous P'Arthit. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Kongpob talks nonstop about you. His father and I keep trying to get him talking about something else. He says he mentioned you last week over dinner but more like every day and night when he's home for the passed few months."
Curiosity and warmth was all that Arthit could see from the woman. He was a bit shocked since he was expecting more along the lines of distaste. Arthit showed his manners with a proper greeting.
"Umm... I have to go home now. It was a pleasure to meet you. My mae is waiting for me."
"But mae let me know that she was going to go out with her best friend today and that you could have dinner here with us. You can even stay over, P'Arthit."
Arthit closed his eyes to pray for patience. "Kongpob, how and when did mae tell you this?"
"Mae text me after our last class." Kongpob lifted his phone to show Arthit the text message.
"When the heck did you start to text my mae?" Arthit could feel the corner of his eye twitch with annoyance.
"We exchanged numbers the first day we met." Kongpob said sweetly.
Kongpob's mother giggled at the interaction. "Well, N'Arthit. It looks like you'll be joining us for dinner and for breakfast in the morning."
"I really don't want to impose, khun."
"It's no intrusion. Please, call me mae. You're part of this family now that you're with Kongpob and he's brought you home. I'll let aunty, know that there will be one more joining us."
Arthit's manners couldn't let him show his true feelings of the turn of events. The minute she was away from hearing distance, Arthit glared at Kongpob.
"I really hate you sometimes."
"I love you, too, P'Arthit." Kongpob wore a goofy grin while giving googly eyes towards the angry kitten in front of him.
