The wedding - summer 2011
Today is the day of my cousin Emilia's wedding. I'm so excited to be her maid of honour & to hear Luke, Cal & Michael play some of their songs; I've heard them 1 million times but they've hardly ever preformed in front of anyone except me and their family.
Emilia put me in charge of music; because I have great taste and I can't think of anyone better than them 3!
"Hey Cal, are you nervous?" I greet him as he unloads Luke's mum's car. "A little, I hope people like us!" I laugh "of course they will! They'll love you!" I explain "You're so biased!" He says almost dropping Mikey's guitar. I laugh at him and help him unload the mic stands and they guitar stands.
"I dedicate this song to our best friend Darcy! We wouldn't be standing on this stage without her!" Luke says into the microphone. I smile and they sing one of my favourite songs; teenage dream by Katy Perry. My family friend Ashton comes up to me "hey Darce!" He says. "You know, if they're ever in need of a drummer then I'll be happy to help" I nod
"I didn't know you played the drums!" I shout over the loud music! "Yeah! I've been playing for a few years now!"
*end of dream*
Laura went home before the film started, My head was rested on Ashton's chest. He was my big brother from another mother, His breathing and occasional humming comforted me as I drifted in and out of sleep.
There was a knock on the door which surely knocked me out of my sleep! I lift my head and start to stand up. "No, you stay I'll get it" Luke says striding out of the room. I hear him open the door and a few words were exchanged before Luke came back into the room looking extremely sad...
