Rumors are buzzing around on what cause Calum to break up with Haley. Even though I'm pretty happy about it, I can't help but to feel bad when I go into the girl's restroom and see her crying her eyes out. Her posse were rubbing her back and giving her soothing words to ease her pain. Which obviously wasn't really working out that much.

"Um, Haley." I say walking towards her. She looks up at me, tears going down her face like waterfalls.

"What?" She yells.

"I just wanted to, um, let you know that he isn't worth it," Boy am I lying, "He doesn't deserve your tears at all." She smiles, but it doesn't last long.

"When have I ever took advice from a Norm." Haley snarls at me before exiting the bathroom. Her friends shoved past me giving me disgusting looks. Dang, a girl was trying. Sometimes I hate being classified as a Norm, then again I'm nothing else but a Norm. I'm not like a prodigy at any subject nor am I hot or sporty.

I leave the restroom and jog to my next class, I'm running minutes behind. The bell rings just as I enter the class.

"Whoa, Ms. Maury. Barely made it." Ms. Foster laughs, "Besides that, guys we're starting a new play today. It will count 40% of your grade because it will be presented in front of the school. The play we're doing is the classic Romeo and Juliet." She says a cheer erupts in the auditorium. Our drama class has always wanted to this piece. I love watching the plays of other people and schools doing this one.

"Really? I'm going for Romeo." Calum tells his buddy Luke Jones. Haley who happens to be in this class too, scoffs at what he says.

"Ms. Foster, where can we sign up to be apart of the play?" I inquiry.

"Right, Hazel, right. Someone please get a paper out please, pass it around with your name and what role you want to have. Auditions are on Saturday at 12, if you don't show don't worry about getting a role." She says. Ali is squealing beside me, happily as she talks about how proud Stella, her mom, would be if she got the role of Juliet. Stella is well known at our high school, she was a head cheerleader and played major roles in school plays. The paper comes around to me and I scan it.

Haley H... Juliet

Melissa L... Rosaline

Rachel G... Nurse

Tyler P... Benvolio

Finn K... Peter

Jake J... Lord Montague

Jacob J... Mercutio

Calum t... Romeo

Luke J... Tybalt

Ryan M... Lord Capulet

Penny L.. Juliet

Hazel M... Juliet

Me getting Juliet was a long shot, I mean I can't even act. Especially since Haley is trying for the part then we have over 25 more students to go and I'm pretty sure they will go for the role too. Ali glances at me before moving to sit next to somebody else. She's probably mad. I go over her with an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry, Ali. I just wanted to try something new, ya know."

"I get that. Yeah I know. But my mom was in everything with a major role plus actually had them, and what major thing have I ever gotten? Nothing. And you may not know Hazel, but you're probably the best actress in the whole school."

"Okay, then. I'll sign up for something else." I say walking back over to my seat. I literally don't understand this at all, how can she get mad when I'm just trying to get a good grade.

School's out and I'm outside because I forgot to get a ride from Ali. I doubt she would give me one anyway. Something wet drops on my head, I look up to see storm clouds in the sky. I groan and get up. The rain comes down harder, I'm soak instantly.

"Hey do you need a ride or something?" A voice calls. Calum is there in his black car, waiting patiently.

"You wouldn't mind, would you? Ya know I'm a norm and all." He laughs a masculine laugh before shaking his head, "No, I wouldn't mind actually." He says.

I jog over the other side of the car and he pops the car door open for me. The car ride is silent, every so often I would look over to him and he would smile. We arrive at the house, Calum stops me as I open the door.

"Um, I just wanted to say. Just because you're a norm doesn't mean we can't be friends or hang out." I smile and get out of the car. CALUM TOKES WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND!!!!!!!
