Heyyyy, I'm going to update every day up until Boxing Day 🎄 x
------

"I didn't expect you to come," Louise said as she stepped more into her house whilst opening the door so she could let me passed, "I'm glad you could make it though darling." She smiled which I returned.

"So who's this?" She asked referring to Calum who stood awkwardly behind me. I had forced him to come because I didn't want to go alone.

"This is Calum, my boyfriend." I smiled up at him as I said it.

"Nice to meet you honey, I'm Anna's step mother." She stuck her hand out for him to shake which he accepted.

"Nice to meet you too." He mumbled.

"So where's Dere- I mean Dad?" I asked.

"He's just popped out, he'll be back-" her sentence was cutoff just as he walked through the front door, "right now." she chuckled which I did the same to be nice but actually I am feeling uncomfortable.

"Hello darling." Derek also known as 'Dad' said.

"Er- hi." I smiled awkwardly.

"So let's go to the living room," Louise guided us into the living room and I saw Leo playing with toys on the carpet as Spongebob was on the TV. There was a humungous Christmas tree covered in golden tinsel, baubles and lights. It made the room look homely. It was nothing like the house I used to live in with my Dad, we didn't even have a tree at Christmas.

"Are you both staying for dinner?" Louise asked. "No, no." Calum and I denied at the same time.

"Non- sense," She wafted her hands around, "you have to stay for dinner. I have got a good meal cooking. Pasta and sauce, your favourite." How does she know my favourite meal?

"Your Dad told me." She smiled over to him.

"Yeah, like he would know. He never cooked me it." I mumbled to myself.

"Derek, as if you never cooked your daughter her favourite meal," she giggled as she slapped him on his chest. He stood there laughing awkwardly as he kept eye contact with me because he knows exactly what I was talking about. He barley ever gave me food, talk about making me my favourite meal.

"Well, you have to stay." Louise said as she looked at us both with hope in her eyes. Because I don't like my Dad doesn't mean that I should be nasty to Louise, she hasn't done anything wrong.

"Okay then." I smiled as she cheered and ran to the kitchen.

"So who is this young man who is dating my daughter?" Dad asked as me and Calum sat down on the couch and him on a single chair.

"This is Calum." I stated, again.

"Nice to meet you," he smiled, "so are you excited for Christmas?" He asked.

"Er, yeah I guess." I relied.

"Well, I hope you get lots of presents. Louise and I have got all sorts for Leo, maybe a little bit too much." He chuckled.

That's right, rub it in. I never got any Christmas presents but maybe he's trying to treat Leo the way he never treated me. I'm still not on his side but maybe he's trying to be a better Dad this time because the last time he messed up big time.

Dinner was ready and we sat around the dining table as we chatted about what is going on in our lives. Dad was quite surprised when we told him that Calum was in a famous band and that I was best friends with a famous girl band.

"That was a lovely meal Louise." Calum stated. I agreed.

"Thank you my love." She smiled.

"Anyway, we do need to go." I said and pulled at Calum's arm for him to stand up with me. "Have a nice Christmas!"

"Oh, it was nice having you. Merry Christmas." I heard Louise shout as I attempted to run out the front door with Calum. Although the meal was nice, it was so awkward being with my once abusive Father and a women who I didn't even know. It felt like I had a meal with strangers.

"Wait!" I turned to see Dad calling me. "Yes?" I asked feeling impatience, I just want to leave.

"It was lovely to catch up with you." He pulled me into a hug but i stiffened and I did not soften into it. It doesn't feel right him hugging me because he never has done ever since I was about three.

"Stop acting like what you used to do never happened." I started to feel angry towards him. He was acting like he was never an evil man. I don't believe that people can change so he must have the personality he used to have.

"What?"

"Never mind." I mumbled and walked out the house successfully this time.

"Well, that was awkward." Calum stated. I suddenly burst out laughing as we walked out the front garden.

"I know right," I said as he started laughing with me, "I hope we never have to go through with that again."

Later on that night Perrie was staying at my apartment since Calum had a show so he had to fly back to Australia. He said he would be back for Christmas Eve though. We had spoken about the day at my Dads.

"Speaking of Dads, I want to find mine," She said. I looked at her in confusion waiting for her to carry on, "for my wedding. I want my Dad to give me away."

"This is some Mamma Mia shit." I said then we both laughed because it's weirdly true.

"Ask you're Mum then. Tell her how much it's means for you to find your Dad and she might tell you who he is." I explained.

"I have but she keeps saying that she has no idea who he is but I know she Is lying. I ain't stupid." She said as she painted her big toe nail black.

"Are sure about that?" I joked.

"I am not stupid." She shouted acting offended but I know that she knew that I was joking.

"What if we are sisters?" She blurted out. I looked up at her and didn't know how to answer.

"I-I don't know," I shrugged.

"If my Mum is lying about not knowing my Dad, then she could be lying about us not being sisters." She explained.

I nodded understanding where she was coming from, "yeah but let's be real, we don't want to get our hopes up just in case we are wrong, again." I said and her face dropped.

"I know but maybe, just maybe." She smiled a lob sided smile.

"Anyway, what you getting me for Christmas?" She teased.

"Excuse but who said I was getting you anything?" I teased back. I am planning on getting her something but I don't know what yet.

"Santa told me."

"Sure he did." I laughed.

"We should go Christmas shopping tomorrow then you can come with me to get my wedding dress." I agree automatically.

"Don't you think your wedding is too soon like are you going to have everything ready by Christmas Eve?" I asked.

"Of course it's not too soon. We have everything booked and people to set up the venue. Don't worry, it's going to perfect." I smiled watching her day dream about her wedding.

"Let's hope so."
