Elena stayed behind after the last period ends. She doesn't feel like going home, and she happens to have some homework to be done. So, she went to the library, found a seat on the furthest corner, and sat there until her phone dies. She'd only realized that after the library's about to close. What's more, it seemed like she's the only student left, and it's raining quite heavily outside. She could only sigh, not believing her luck.

She sat on the foyer, and stare at the rain hitting the ground. Thankfully the scent of rain soothes her because had it not, she'd be extremely pissed at herself for forgetting her chargers at home. That has never happened before, and the one time it happens, she happens to have forgotten to charge her phone the previous night, and have also left behind the charger. She pats herself on the back and offered herself the dumbest person award.

After half an hour or so, the rain has died down. Though it hadn't stopped, it's not as heavy. So, she decided to just pass over the rain. It seemed like people are avoiding the possibility for a storm, so she barely sees any car passing by, not like it'd change anything. She walked in a slow calm pace, as if she's just enjoying a breezy day in the park. The rain pours down her face, and her whole body is soaked.

It's cold, especially that the wind's blowing with cold breeze now that it's near winter. But she made no move to run, find a shelter, or to stop. She found the cold comforting, and it felt like as if she could wash down all her burdens along with the rain. What's more, if she decided to break down at that exact moment, nobody would be able to tell since rain will erase its streak from her face. It'd make a wonderful cover, even.

Before she gets to even consider doing that, a horn is blared behind her, almost making her jump in surprise. She turns around as quick as her reflects allowed her to, and she's being welcomed by a familiar car. The window rolled down and she turned around almost instantly when she sees his face.

"What the hell are you doing?" he asks, driving his car to cover her road, forgetting that she's walking by foot, not by a car, so she could simply just move aside. He could only sigh seeing her antics.

"Elena! Get in here!" he commands and she only stares at him with a lazy stare. He sighed. He opened the door, not bothering with anything as he chased after her and stops her.

"Are you mad? The rain's getting heavier. What are you doing? Get in!"

Elena sighed as she took in his appearance. She'd reject his offer, saying that she'd hate to get his cushion soaked, but then he is soaked as well, now. There'd be no use of saying no. So, she got in and just sat in silence, head leaned to the window as the car moves.

"Are you going home?" He finally asks after a moment of silence. She shook her head, but then she remembered that he's driving. She's just about to answer verbally until she noticed that he's looking at her. Considering he might see her nod; she doesn't bother repeating herself.

The only sound filling the silence is the rain hitting the car. She stared out the window to only ended up staring at the drops of water falling down the window, with the surrounding light reflected on it.

"Why are you walking it the rain? Did you just leave school?" he finally asked, turning to look at her at a red light after a long silence.

"So did you."

He sighed. "Yeah, the team broke into a fight again. The team captain also bears the punishment, don't you know?"

That brings a lazy smile on her and her eyes glinted. "It took my pain to bring a smile on your face? How cruel," he complained. Elena rolled her eyes and told him to get used to it.

"Can we stop by your house?" she suddenly asks when he just turned to her direction.

"I suppose," is his only answer as he took a u turn, receiving some horn since he's not supposed to turn there but it's a small road. She looked at him and sees him wearing his 'cocky jock' lazy smile.
