Elena didn't see him the whole day until lunch. She's just passing through the cafeteria door when she saw him in his usual seat in the middle row. He's joking around with his friends and funnily, he happens to turn his head right in the same time she entered.

He offers her a small smile that almost taken her aback. She didn't expect that because she thought he wanted to keep it low profile. But she's sure it's subtle enough for anyone not to notice.

'but if you could notice, why can't others?' her brain seemed to asks. She wanted to curse it so bad but she would've been cursing herself instead- not that she doesn't usually does that.

Elena made a small gesture, hoping it's a smile. But seeing the amused glint in his eyes, she wonders if she looks like she's grimacing instead. It felt so awkward and she pretended the interaction never happened.

She wonders if there's a way to turn her brain off because it seemed like it couldn't get enough of mocking her.

The table's still empty. She doesn't bother checking where the girl's at. She doesn't mind if they don't join her. Peace is rare nowadays. She sat down and as she's about to start eating, she can't help but to steal a glance at him.

Seeing his attractive side profile, she's sure that God's having favorites because not everyone is as gifted as he is. His messy hair reminds her of the time she ran her fingers through his hair.

His deep glances and soft smile reminded her of the night before. They had spent the night kissing and cuddling. And as simple as it sounds, it made her feel this giddy feeling inside her chest. He's so warm and though he's body is full of muscles, he's pretty soft and is a wonderful place to lie down on. It's almost like having a big dog, like a golden retriever, but with less fur and more dose of attractiveness. Does that even make sense?

She took a sip of drink and realize that Jana and the girls have joined her and Jana's giving her a funny look.

"What?" Elena questioned, feeling unsure with her stare.

She turned her head to the direction Elena's stare and turned back to stare at her. "I- are you daydreaming, or is there something interesting there before, that I didn't notice then?"

Elena rolled her eyes, and got back to what she'd doing, not bothering to answer the question. Jana only shrugged as one or the two girls still constantly look backwards to the point that she wonders how their head is still intact.

"Oh look, hot guy at... there," one of the girls pointed, and the other girls- even her- looked the way she's pointing at. Though they're attractive, Elena believed that she's just being over.

"Fine specimen, and when I said fine, I mean fine. Not fine fine," Jana shrugged and Elena could only smile at that, though deep down she actually agrees, but she refuses to say a thing.

Suddenly the blonde jumps, and grinned excitedly. "Okay, but the real question is, The jocks and their rates."
She looked around before calmed down a bit. "I vote Ivan, from the soccer team. He's hot."

"He's not hot," a dark brunette retorted. Definitely not the pregnant one, though they hadn't heard more from her. "He's a chunky thin guy who'd probably got blown off had there been a tornado. He looked like he hasn't gotten his puberty yet. What's hot about him?" she said, rolling her eyes.

"Though you made a fair point about him, it doesn't change the fact that the only guy you think is hot is Micah," the platinum blond rolled her eyes.

"Well, I am dating him," she shrugged as Emily gasped.
"Wait, Michelle, aren't you dating Micah?" Emily asked suddenly, and a few girls groaned. But on the contrary to the others, Michelle only sighed as she patiently explained, "That's what I just said, Emily. We have just started to officially date."

Emily made an 'oh' sound before focusing back on her NDS. It's obvious that some of the girls doesn't really like her, but they're coping because she made a good team in the cheerleader. She could memorize the moves just fine, and would do things without asking too much.

"By the way, is Lindy actually pregnant? Because if she is, we'd have to get a new member," the platinum asked. But before anyone got to answer, suddenly someone showed up and called her.

"Shirley, the principal asks for you."

Shirley only sighed, picked up her bags and told Jana to convince Elena to join. She shot Elena a meaningful look and suddenly, the blonde jumps back in.
"So, who do you think is hot? And please don't make fun of Ivan, he'll grow hot after freshmen year," she said with 'as matter of fact' tone. Jana made a face that said, 'suit yourself.'

"To be honest most of the jocks are good looking, but the winner's most likely to be Nathan," Michelle said the others agreed.

"I even heard that he's already secured a seat at one of the most prestigious universities because of his sport achievements," Jana that she nodded at enthusiastically.

"Oh Hillary, should've pin on Nathan instead. He's handsomely hot with tons of achievement. Ivan haven't even made it to the team," Michelle said that made Hillary looked at her with a confused look.

"But he hangs out with the jocks, he couldn't-"

"He's Deke Jackson's cousin, or something. I don't know. They're just related. And I'd bet that the only reason he's joining soccer is to avoid being bullied. I can tell by his clothes, how he holds his book and walks, also by how he handled the ball. I was at the field the other day to watch Micah train, and he looked as awkward as a dog being told to salsa."

They all laughed as Hillary cringed. But then they all noticed the confused look in Emily face and they know that she's probably imagining a dog doing salsa dance. They sighed.

Elena's gaze went to his table where he and some of his friends are sitting on the table as they laughed at something. His half-wet hair effortlessly falls on his forehead, and if she had to be honest, him being hot sounds more like an understatement.
