"Ew" I said walking back to my car and he laughed
"Ay joey do you have time to many look at my car I don't know what the helps happening under my hood, some Harry Potter shit" he said
"If you don't know then I won't" he said
"Just take a look" and joey and him both left the garage and I pulled my car out of the garage and got out closing the door behind me and then driving off
"Did he follow us here" Jocelyn said
"What" I said
" he was watching us, clearly he knew we were coming here" she said and I shrugged my shoulders
"Oh my god he clearly has a thing for you" she said
"What ew ugh I'd rather die" I said and she laughed
"I'll meet you outside at 11" she said and I nodded and walked inside and went into my room and changed into some shorts and a shirt and went downstairs and slipped on my slippers and went into the kitchen
"Just in time for lasagne" my mum said pulling it out of the oven and I sat down opposite my sister and across from my dad
"Where were you" he asked
"I went shopping with Jocelyn" I said and he nodded and I had a slice put on my plate and I dug in
"How was school" my mum asked me
"It was good" I said and my sister started talking about her new law class and I just sat there
After I finished I put my dishes into the dishwasher and headed upstairs
"Upstairs so soon?"
"I have homework" I said and made my way to my room turning my lights on and sitting at my desk and opened my laptop and started watching dynasty
After a few episodes and Elizabeth gillies being extremely iconic i got up to wash my face and pick out what I was going to wear
I picked out jean shorts, a black shirt with a leather jacket and my black trainers and left them in my closet
"Goodnight mum" I heard my sister yell before a door closed
"Night valeria night laurel"
"Night mum" I said and heard the door close
Okay they're in their rooms
I shoved a few pillows under my blanket and grabbed a black shirt shoving it by my pillow to make it look like hair
It's not like they'll turn on the light they just need to see something
Once I made it sure it looked realistic I slipped into my clothes adding a bit of lipgloss and saw Jocelyn outside my house
I turned my lights off and slipped out of the window and down the pipe and into my car and speeding off hoping no one heard and made my way to the track
"Ooo you looking cute" she said
"Thanks and you" I said
"Looking cute for a little someone" she said and I rolled my eyes
"Mhm how about you with Troy, I seen how you been looking at him" I said and she shook her head and looked down smiling
"Oh my god you do have a crush"
"Shh don't tell anyone" she said and I laughed as we pulled up and joey came to me
"Finally you lot took your sweet time, Jocelyn get out. Laurel your up next" he said
"Wait what Now" I said and he nodded smirking and I slowly pulled up to the ring
"AFTER A LONG TIME WE HAVE A FEMALE RACER" the guy yelled

"WE HAVE SLATER VS REINA" he yelled
"You put my name under as Reina" I said and he nodded and I smiled
(Reina means queen in Spanish 👑)
I got to the line and he came up to my window
"It's a gear mostly you'll be going through all of them mainly 5 or 6 during the last lap, that red button there is the boost. Keep it for the last lap, this guys a prick as well. He'll try and bait you. Don't fall for it" he said giving me an ear piece
"I can talk to you through that it's only 2 laps so you'll be fine and go get em tiger" he said and I smiled as I revved my engine
A girl in a crop top and white shorts walked to the line holding up a flag
"ARE YOU READY" she yelled to me and I revved my engine as my response
"I KNOW YOUR READY" she said to the other guy and she twirled the flag in her hand above her head and in one swift movement threw it down and we were both off speeding and he went for his boost speeding ahead of me
"LAUREL DON'T USE YOURS YET" I heard joey and I shifted into my 5th gear speeding forward trying to catch up with him
As we made our way through half of the track we were reaching lap two and i finally started catching up to him and he came down for the high end
I took the position there, us both battling to knock each other out
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HE'S BAITING YOU"
He went to the left and when he was about to ram his car into me I reversed back and took his position and shoved his car into the wall as we made our way into lap two and keeping his car against the wall
He lost complete control of the car until it finally lost its tyres and came to an abrupt Stop
I shifted gears and went around the track and past the finished lines
"AND REINA WINS, HER FIRST RACE OF THE NIGHT AND SHE WINS AGAINST SLATER" the guy yelled and I laughed as joey came up to me
"Holy shit we won 5 grand, 2 and a half for you" he said and I smiled as people cheered for me
"Hey, nice okay there" slater said
"Thank you" I said
"Even though my cars fucked" he said
"It's not enough but here, that's 2 and a half" I said
"It's your money you won it" he said
"I did it for fun not for the money and you haven't done me wrong so here" he said and smiled and walked away
"You know I think he's into you" I said to joey
"I think so too" he said winking to me and walking towards him and I laughed
"GIRL GIRL GIRL CIRLLLLLL" Jocelyn yelled running up to me
"What what what WHATTTT" i yelled back
"Troy just talked to me he said he wants to hang out" she said
"That's awesome" I said
"Yeah but..."
"But?" I questioned
"It's a double date, please come with me" she said
