Jimmy called you out from your room the next morning. He was on his laptop on the sofa.
"Hey, so last minute video today. Some of the guys are unable to come in tomorrow so we have to shoot today," Jimmy started.
"Okay, what's the video?" You asked.
"We're going to fill Karl's apartment with legos, balloons, and things of that sort," He explained.
You nodded your head and laughed. Jimmy sent you off with Chandler to get the supplies. He had made a list of items he wanted and where to get them. It felt like a scavenger hunt.
"When does he need all this by?" You looked down the list.
"Beats me," Chandler shrugged as you pulled into your first Walmart.
The two of you spent around an hour looking for what Jimmy wanted. Most of what was on the list, Walmart didn't even carry.
"Should we just go back and tell Jimmy they didn't have most of this stuff?" You asked Chandler.
"No!- I mean... let's go to a different store," Chandler smiled trying to hide his outburst.
"Alright?" You laughed.
Chandler drove you around to a variety of different stores looking for the items. He insisted on continuing the search. He seemed more determined crossing the items off Jimmy's list than in any challenge. His phone went off and he quickly checked it.
"Okay, we can go ahead and go to Karl's," Chandler looked at you.
"So Jimmy doesn't need all this?" You looked at the list.
"He said we can go ahead and come," He shrugged.
You raised an eyebrow at him. They were up to something. Was it worth trying to ask though?
You arrived at a rather larger apartment complex. It was nice. The set up was more like a townhome but apartments nonetheless. You were kind of jealous. Chandler opened the car passenger side door for you. He led you up to the front door since you didn't know which one it was.
When you knocked on the door, Jimmy greeted you with a camera pointed on you.
"Did you find all the supplies?" He asked with a grin on his face provoking a laugh from Chandler.
"We did not actually," You handed him the halfway crossed out list.
"Darn. Well, welcome to your new home!" Jimmy shouted keeping the camera on you.
You froze in shock unsure what to say. The rest of the team emerged out of who knows where.
"What?" You managed to get out.
"I know you've been wanting your own place. I sent Chandler here out with you on a scavenger hunt to keep you distracted while the rest of us put everything together," He smiled.
"Jimmy-... I... don't know what to say... thank you," You started tearing up.
"Hey now, you're going to make me cry," He hugged you. "Go look around."
They had furnished it already for you too. Jimmy said if you didn't like something you could change it out. It was a one bedroom one bathroom yet spacious for an apartment. It didn't feel crowded to have the team there. They finished up filming a few more bits for the video. Turns out it was a "surprising my" kind of video instead of what he had said earlier.
"Chandler helped too," Jimmy added.
"Yes! My favorite part!" Chandler practically ran to the kitchen. "I got you gushers!"
"Thank you Chandler," You smiled.
You had your own place now. It would be odd without Jimmy, but you finally had a place to call yours.
