Lonely Hearts - Luke Hemmings

Chapter 23

"Morning." You say as you open your eyes to meet Luke's beautiful blue eyes already waiting for your green ones to open.

"Morning beautiful." He smiles.

"How did you sleep?" You ask him.

"Fine. You?" He asks.

"Eh, I had some nightmares about seeing Ashton and Sadie doing it." You chuckle.

He smiles. "Understandable. I've been thinking.."

"About Sadie and Ashton?" You ask.

"No, no." He says.

"Okay good, that would have been weird." You laugh.

He laughs too and shakes his head.

"What were you thinking about?" You ask.

"Do you maybe.. want to move in with me?" He asks.

"What?" You ask, shocked. "Like, move in with you and the boys?"

"No, not necessarily.. I was thinking of getting my own apartment here." He says.

"I thought you love living with the boys?" You ask.

"Yeah it's great and all but, if we'll be bouncing back and forth between LA and here in between touring, might as well have my own place. Then I can come visit you more.. so what do you say?" He asks.

You think about it before smiling. "I'd love to Luke."

He smiles and kisses your forehead. "I'm glad. We can pick out an apartment together."

You smile. "I can't wait."

"Me either." He smiles and gets up. He walks to the bathroom and you sigh. Was this the right decision? I mean, you two were pretty serious and he gave you a promise ring so it's bound to happen. Were your roommates going to be mad at you?

Luke comes out of the bathroom soon and looks at you. "I've been looking at apartments all morning since I've woken up and I found a few open houses today. Would you like to go check them out?"

"Sure." You smile.

You both got ready for the day and leave your apartment after a while. You walked to the first open house which was close to yours.

"I figured I'd look for places close to NYU so it would be easy for you still." He says.

"You didn't have to do that, I'm not going to be in that school forever." You tell him.

"Yeah but it's okay, we can always find a new apartment when your done, unless you get a job out of state." He says.

"True." You nod.

You guys check out 4 apartments and by the end of the day, you have picked your favorite. You guys put a downpayment on it and were able to move into it within a few days.

The apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It had a decent sized kitchen and living room. One of the bedrooms was bigger than the other and that had a bathroom connected to it. The other bedroom was small and the bathroom by that one only had a toilet and a sink in it. It was perfect for the two of you. The walls were soundproof because a former musician lived here so you and Luke discussed making the extra bedroom a music room where he can write and maybe record some things. You two planned on getting a pull out couch in case you had company over. You would make the extra bedroom a guest room but you thought that Luke would enjoy it as a music room better and you wanted him to be happy.

Now for the hard part. Telling your roommates. As you walked into your apartment building with Luke, you were nervously biting your nails.

"Hey." Luke says pulling your hand away from your mouth. "Calm down, I'm sure they won't care."
