Today you were secretly meeting up with Calum, Ashton and Michael to plan a surprise birthday party for Luke. You had never planned a surprise party for someone and you were excited. They were coming over to your apartment so Luke wouldn't find you guys anywhere.

Luke had asked you to hang out today but you told him you had to make your schedule and stuff for school next year, even though you already did that. He didn't have to know that though until after the party.

They come over soon and knock on the door. You let them in and bring them to the living room and they sit on the couches.

"What should we plan first?" You ask.

They think. "Location."

"Okay. What type of place are you thinking?" You ask.

They think. "Well we were thinking somewhere pretty, maybe outdoors but I don't know about that in New York City."

You think. "You can rent the outdoor rooftop garden." You say and type it into your computer and show them.

"230 Fifth Rooftop Lounge.. that sounds familiar. I think I've been to a party there before and it was nice." Michael says.

They book it for the day of Luke's birthday before moving on to the next thing.

"They have food there that we can pick out at a later date so that's taken care of. We need to make a guest list." Michael says.

You bite your lip. "That's all on you guys, I don't know anyone he knows."

"What about your best friend.. what's her name?" Calum asks.

"Brittany?" You ask.

"Yeah that one. Luke talked about her a lot when she helped him plan a date. Do you think she'd be interested in going?" He asks.

"I can ask her." You say as Sadie walks into the room.

"Interested in going to what?" She asks. "Is there a party going on?"

"Yes." You say to her before turning to the boys. "This is one of my other roommates Sadie. Sadie, this is Michael, Calum and Ashton." You tell them.

You watch as Ashton looks her up and down and bites his lip. Ooh it seems like someone likes Sadie.

"Your more than welcome to come." Ashton says to her. You bit your lip and held in a laugh. In what way did he mean? You loved your dirty mind.

"When is it?" She asks.

"July 16th." He answers.

She smiles. "I'd love to go."

He smiles back. "Cool."

Michael clears his throat as they stare at each other. They both look away and she grabs her backpack. "I have to go to work, I'll be back later." She says.

"Okay, have fun." You smile.

She leaves the apartment and Ashton looks at you. "Where does she work?"

"Um she's a fitness trainer." You tell him.

"That's hot.. I mean cool. That's cool." He says.

They all laugh at him and you smile and write her number down on a piece of paper and slide it over to him. He takes it and slips it in his pocket. "Thanks."

"No problem." You smile and you go back to planning.

After a while you guys have most things figured out and they leave. They left at a good time because 20 minutes later, Luke came over and surprised you with brownies that he made.

"You made brownies?" You ask him.

"Yeah, you and the boys were busy so I was lonely and bored all day. They probably taste like shit but it kept me entertained for a while." He says.

"Where were the boys? Why weren't you with them?" You ask, trying to play it off like you weren't with them in case he had suspicion about it.

"Ashton said he was going to the gym, Calum said he needed to go clothes shopping and Michael... is Michael and just kind of disappeared like he always does." He shrugs.

"He seems mysterious." You laugh.

"He is." He laughs. "How was making your schedule? Taking any fun classes?"

"Yeah, I love all the classes I'm taking, the seem really fun and cool." You smile.

"Good." He smiles.

You smile back. "What would you like to do for the rest of the day?"

He shrugs. "We can do whatever."

"Pick something." You say.

"You pick something." He says back.

"You're the one who came over here and surprised me, you pick." You say.

"You're being difficult and I don't approve." He says in an American accent.

"Are you mocking my accent?" You ask.

"Maybe, maybe not." He shrugs.

You jokingly roll your eyes and he pulls you in for a kiss. You kiss him back and smile into it.

He pulls away and leans his forehead against yours. "Pick something to do."

You push him away and laugh. "You're an asshole."

"I know." He smirks.

You shake your head and smile. "I love this side of you."

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"I love when you act like a kid. It's easier to deal with you." You joke.

"Shut up." He says rolling his eyes. "I'm a mature man."

"More like a man child." You laugh.

He pretends to be angry for a second before nodding. "Yeah, you right."

You smile. "I'm always right."

"Nope. You are always wrong and I'm always right." He says.

"Watch yourself Hemmings." You joke.

"Make me." He smirks.

You roll your eyes. "See? A child."

"Nope. I'm mature." He says.

"In what world?" You ask.

"Our world." He says kissing your head.

"Yeah, when you put it like that." You smile. "I love our little world."

"Me too." He smiles.

You kiss the tip of his nose. "Shall we try the brownies?"

"If you'd like." He says.

You get a knife and go to cut it but it's hard like a rock.

"Are you trying to get me to break a tooth?" You ask.

"Yeah, you'd be hot without any teeth." He says sarcastically.

You laugh and shake your head.

"I told you it wouldn't be good." He says.

You walk your cabinet and take out some brownies that are in plastic bags and hand him one. "These are left overs from Daisy's Café."

He takes it and tries it. "Ooh this is really good. Who makes them?"

"Daisy." You answer as you eat one yourself.

"Tell her that she bakes good." He says.

"I will." You smile.

You enjoyed this moment. You were eating amazing brownies with the man you loved from the place where you first met. The best part about this moment is that you had cookies that weren't rock hard and burnt. Thank god for Daisy making way too many brownies.
