Chapter 3 Meeting her

Bella sat next to me on the couch, with my phone in her hand. I took the phone from her, to find she already had the app store open for me. Mom, I already have the description open for you. Take a look to see if it's something you're interested in,

You will teach him/her, their morals and core belief system. He/she will evolve with your love and guidance. His/her image is projected above your phone screen in a 4D image. You'll interact with him/her, like you would a human child. The only difference is he/she has from a human child is the rate to which they grow and mature. It definitely sounds interesting, I'll give you that, Bella. I wonder why they have a contract and a set age requirement, it's just an app? That kind of makes me a little uncomfortable. I had just finished loading the dishwasher and wiping down the counters, when Bella entered the kitchen. I could tell right away she had done something by the smile on her face. As Bella, is walking away my phone starts beeping. I look down to fine the app waiting for the information on my 4D child. I start reading the question/options. Sex of your 4D child Male or Female. Female, I think, I always felt Bella needed a sister. Bella, being the only girl on both sides of our families, has really spoiled her. Name - I always did want to name Bella, Emma. I find myself typing the name Emma Elizabeth into the space. Eye color - blue always wanted a blue eyed child, everyone in our family is dark eyed. Hair color - Black hair always makes blue eyes stand out. I find myself coming to the end of the features and getting ready to start the app. Excitement is building in me, how silly it's just a game. Yet I find excitement in knowing I'm about to see Emma for the first time. It's funny to me, I thought about this app in a human context. I click the complete button and wait for the information to download. A little lullaby is playing on my phone while it loads. I giggle to myself thinking ok this is really going a bit far.

The music slows down my screen reads Congratulations Jessica you're a proud mother of a baby Girl, named Emma Elizabeth born Oct. 23rd at 8:48 p.m., weight 8 lbs 9 oz, length 21 in long. The screen goes black and all of a sudden a bright light shines upward from my phone. This beautiful cubby naked baby girl is floating above my screen. Not to mention she has lungs sounding off like a loud fire alarm. I start hitting my screen which only makes her cry more. I remember the description said she was like a real baby. I reach up caressing her face and head. She immediately calms down and starts sucking her fist. She's all curled up into herself to try and keep warm, I think to myself. I have to get her some clothes, food, toy etc.. Crap I need to get Bella, she has all my login information. Not realizing, I'm already hooked on Emma.
