Evelyn began the night holding hands with Mateo.

They entered her apartment that was decorated to the highest extent. Daisy simply wouldn't allow someone like Ramona planning her engagement party. "Not with all the baby hormones distracting her." But as compromise they wouldn't go to some fancy mansion or venue. They'd celebrate in the place he called home.

Something Evelyn would've objected to if she hadn't been making a deal not to talk to Chris.

"Must be pretty exciting going to two weddings in one year huh. Especially when it's your two best friends." Mateo smiled and nudged her.

Evelyn was lost in thought at the banner congratulations daisy and chris! Looking to her boyfriend she smiled tightly. "It is exciting- i'm happy for them."

Ramona rushed up to them. Still looking beautiful with her long black hair and growing belly wrapped in a red dress. "I think that bitch's ring is bigger than mine." She whined, looking to her hand.

Evelyn chuckled at the girl as Mateo kissed her cheek and left her to talk.

"What are you talking about?" She raised a perfect brow.

"I'm serious I think Chris had the audacity to buy a big ass ring for Delilah." Ramona scoffed, still looking to her hand.

Lucy Wood, Chris' mother, had a beautiful ring. She originally had two. The first being bought when her and Derek, Chris' dad, were ultra poor and by themselves. It was the thinnest silver band with the tiniest diamond known to man atop it. Way smaller than a baby's fingernail.

The second ring was bought after Rio was born, the two had more money and a nice house. This ring was still silver, but had a bigger diamond in between two tiny diamonds. Lucy gave it to Rio after college for Ramona.

"Mona your ring is lovely. That's Lucy's ring." She touched it.

"I know." Ramona groaned at herself for being selfish and mean. "Baby hormones. We've moved on from crying all the time to being a whiny bully. I've barely met Delilah and here I am calling her names."

Evelyn made no move to correct her on Daisy's name. "It's alright babe no one blames you. How is the little shit?" She smiled as she looked to her belly.

"Kicking my goddamn bladder every five minutes and never letting me sleep." She said in an angry tone. "But I cant wait till he's here." She smiled and laughed happily as she touched her stomach.

Hormones Evelyn laughed internally. "I always wondered what you'd be like carrying Rio's babies. It's a sight."

Everyone always thought they'd attend Dana and Ben's wedding first. They weren't too sure they'd see children, but they were the couple everyone looked up to. It was actually quite surprising when Lily had a baby and wedding first, despite the girls lifelong dream of wanting that.

"Is that's a fat joke?" Ramona eyes watered.

"What- no! Oh my gosh of course not." Damn. "I simply meant your glow is more beautiful than we had always imagined. That's all." She smiled, trying to defuse the situation.

"Oh my gosh thank you." Her tears seemed to disappear as she smiled widely.

Evelyn laughed carefully with wide eyes, afraid to set off the pregnant bomb that was her friend.
