From the shitty start of the day, Chaeyoung couldn't of imagined it ending well. But Chanyeol was full of surprises, somehow making up for his avoidance in only a few short hours.

The kiss.

It had remained unspoken of, Chanyeol getting up to get them refills once he eventually released her from his grasp. But that didn't mean he completely ignored that it had happened. From the way he continued to look at her that night, and his questions pressing her to tell him more about herself, regret wasn't even a thought that had crossed his mind. It didn't cross hers either.

Chanyeol had learnt a lot about her that night, but she couldn't say the same. There was so much she didn't know, but she reasoned that it was just because he was a private person. He didn't really open up to anyone, so could she really be surprised?

They spent the next hour just talking, right up until the point the bar kicked them out, around thirty minutes before their said curfew. Chaeyoung stumbled out first, giggling at some dirty joke Chanyeol was telling, the man himself closely following her and steadying her body with his large hands around her waist. They had only had around three drinks, but Chaeyoung felt lightheaded, high off the events of the night.

"Easy there, tiger. Don't want to end up in the gutter." He chuckled, a hand pulling her back to the safety of the sidewalk.

Just like earlier, they fell into that natural pace with one another, walking side by side, no contact between them apart from the leather of his jacket that he had draped over her shoulders. It smelt of him, Chaeyoung gripping its collar and drawing it closer around her body, burying her face in his scent. As long as it was him she was being suffocated with, she didn't mind.

Things were silent between them for the first time since their walk to the bar, the only sounds being the background noise around them and the slight scuffs of their shoes. It wasn't awkward though, far from it. Words just didn't need to be exchanged between them in that moment, their tentative side glances saying it all.

Chaeyoung's mouth opened wide for the yawn that had been threatening to escape her lips since leaving the cozy atmosphere of the bar. The warmth had made her sleepy, nothing sounding better to her than curling up in her bunk and drifting into an alcohol-infused sleep.

Noting the sudden change in her perkiness, Chanyeol slung an arm over her shoulder and pulled her close, Chaeyoung stunned at his sudden touch. "Stay with me, I don't want to have to carry you to the bus." He joked, his lips angled towards her ear, Chaeyoung feeling his warm breath fan through her hair.

She couldn't stop glancing between his arm round her shoulder and his face, heart thumping wildly at their close proximity, it being something she had never had the pleasure to experience before.

"What?" Chanyeol asked, a light smile on his face once he realised what her eyes were doing.

"What are you doing?" She smiled confusedly, nodding down to his arm that hung loosely on her shoulders, the fingers of his hand relaxing down her side.

"I don't know whether you've noticed," Chanyeol paused their leisurely pace, turning her to face him right underneath one of the stark white streetlights. There was barely anyone else about, the two of them almost having the street entirely to themselves. Chanyeol's hands reached for her own, pulling them up to place around his neck, just like they had been back in the bar.

"But I do what I want." The next place his hands fell to was the lining of his jacket that was looped over her shoulders, fingers skimming down the surface until he grasped the material located nearly at the bottom. With a sharp tug, Chaeyoung landed into his chest, looking up at him with wide eyes, full of surprise. She looked up just in time to register his features closing in on her, eyelashes fluttering shut in realisation.
