Jithmin checked her pulse with trepidation, the old lady did not survive! The whole family was struck in a dilemma. Everyone was nervous and they had to decide what they were going to do before grandpa woke up. Santesh said that they should not tell Grandpa what happened here if they did then grandpa's mental health would deteriorate. Nothing other than god only could help them. Upeksha shed tears sitting in the corner of the living room. Chamilki as a mom consoled her. They all struck in a new muddle.
Suddenly, Upeksha came up with a suss idea: "shall we bury her in our garden?"
The whole family was looking at her with incertitude
"But what if someone caught us red-handed?Our neighbours too saw her, if they ask us where or who she is then what will you answer?" Jithmin added with consternation.
"What if grandpa asks where she is?" Santesh said.
"Telling the truth and making him cry is better than telling a lie and making him smile"Upeksha made a sudden statement.
--There was a dead silence among them--
Jithmin, her dad pondered a while and made a call to a local police who was his boon companion always.
He explained the situation to him on the mobile.
After 15 minutes of talking, he told everyone that his friend suggested the idea of upeksha!and he took a brief look at his so-called dead mother.
Nothing but luck can only help them.they wrapped the soulless figure in a cloth which is of course a very new experience to the family.they did not include both santesh and Upeksha as they are not old enough to do that thing.
They kept the wrapped figure in the storeroom in their backyard. They made sure no stranger saw that act of moving the figure.
Grandpa appeared just after the incident.as expected he asked about his wife
Upeksha's dad answered him that she went somewhere unexpectedly while she asked us to bring some water to her.
Grandpa answered him that she might be returned after seeing her beloved in this condition, with guilt on his face.
He then added "times fly by" with a sigh.
They were nervous but they all pretended that nothing had happened.upeksha went to do her homework so as santesh.
Three hours passed successfully without any suspicion.SANTESH SOLD HIS VALUABLE IDEA TO EVERYONE:
"Why don't we bury her tonight?we shall pass this to your dad and aunt, they will do it!" santesh said to upeksha.
"But....when"
"After grandpa sleeps......um...maybe at 2am or 3am"
"Okay, i will tell this to mom and dad"
This plan reached the ears of the whole family except grandpa.
The clock reminded them to work the plan.
Only upeksha was left alone inside the house, santesh, Jithmin and every other started digging the earth.
It reached 3:45 when a complete 6ft lengthed hole was made.
upeksha's dad single handedly brought the corpse and put it in the hole.
Everyone started to put soil on the corpse,The plan was completely going great until they heard footsteps of someone.
Santesh turned to see who on the earth was that.
He was sure that it was upeksha, who can't sleep without her mom.
