I sat back for a while and cleaned myself. I took off my vest and tied my sticky hair into a bun.
"Anja's trying to drive everyone's attention back to you." Nickolas walked on eggshells after screaming at me.
"Bobong-bobo ka na ba sa'kin? Tingin mo ba hindi ko naiintindihan kung anong ginagawa n'ya?" Sagot ko sa kanya.
He frowned at me as I raise my voice.
"Yes?" I answered as Ms. Lin called in my phone, as I am still brushing off this stupid milk na sana naman 'wag magmantsya sa damit ko.
"I'm with Nickolas Silva." sagot ko sabay tingin kay Nickolas dahil nag-report daw ang service ko na hindi ako nasundo. I was summoned by my dad for an important meeting with people I don't know so Nickolas was obliged to take me home as soon as possible.
"Goodness gracious what the hell happened to you?" Ms. Lin said in dismay nang makita akong basa ng strawberry milk. Napababa rin s'ya sa phone na hawak n'ya na parang akmang may tatawagan.
"Nothing." I shrugged.
"We'll talk about it later pero magpalit ka na muna sa taas. Corporate attire. You'll meet Mr. Lee's lawyers." Paalala na n'ya na agad kong sinunod.I kept it simple and wore a white polo, high-waisted black A-cut skirt, and add a little fashionable detail as I wear a double-breasted jacket. For shoes, I simply put on a nude stiletto.
For the first time, nakapasok ako sa office ni dad.
I saw him and 6 other men in their corporate attires drinking alcoholic beverages and laughing with things I don't understand why they find funny.
I entered and got all their attentions. They're Korean so I bowed to pay greetings.
"All right everyone." says dad as he stands up and introduce me. Lumakad ako at pumunta sa tabi n'ya. I kept a very fake smile on my face.
"This is Sabrina Garielle Lee." Dad adds as he swing his hand holding a glass of whisky.
"It's nice to finally meet you." Sabi ng lalaking naka-upo malapit kay dad.
"Likewise." I said and smiled.
"This is Atty. Jang Hyun Joon." pagpapakilala n'ya sa lalaking kumausap sa'kin. I bowed in respect. "He's the head of the law firm. And this is Sanchez Yoo, Hyun Soo Yung, Kim Ju Won, Ji Jung Sok, and Kenneth Hyun." The last one seems a lot younger than them. Honestly, wala akong naalalang pangalan.
"Wow...we never knew you had such a charming young lady." a guy, I believe was named Kim Ju Won, said. My dad chuckles in reply.
"We're just fixing all the legal matter to pursue with your launching as soon as possible." Dad said.
