Transfer Student ~ Kaidam

Chapter 1

Mira's Pov
  I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. Ugh. Today's Monday, another school day. I groaned as I got out of bed and turned my alarm clock off. I put on my clothes and brushed my hair. I walked downstairs to a delicious smell of chocolate chip pancakes.
"Good morning Mira!" My dad said as he put three pancakes on my plate.

"Morning." I said and started eating.

"Are you walking with Adam to school this morning or am I driving you?" He asked me.

"Walking with Adam like I always do." I exclaimed.

"Okay, well I'm off to work now! Have a good day at school!" He said happily.

"Thanks, bye dad!" He waved me goodbye and walked out the door.

     10 minutes later I finished eating. I took my phone out of my pocket and texted my best friend Adam.

Mira: Hey! Are you ready for school yet?

Adam: Just got out of the shower, I'll be ready in 10. Why?

Mira: Aren't we walking to school together?

Adam: Oh yeah! I'll meet you at your house, ok?

Mira: K

     I sat on my couch and turned on the TV. I skipped through channels until I found a good show to watch while I waited for Adam. 20 minutes later there was a knock on my door. I quickly got up, grabbed my backpack and walked out the door.

"Hey!" Adam said.

"Hi." I said back.

"Did you hear?" Adam asked me excitedly.

"Hear what?" I turned around and looked at him with a confused expression on my face.

"We're getting a transfer student who is going to our school for 4 months!" Adam said smiling widely.

"Nice." I said.

We started talking about the transfer student. We were wondering what they would look like? Would they have brown hair or black hair? Do they speak a different language? Do they have a weird funny accent? We started getting excited the more we talked about the transfer student. I wonder if it was a boy or a girl? Who knows?

We got to the school after about 15 minutes of walking. I waved Adam goodbye and headed over to my locker. I put my combination in and opened it. I grabbed my Science text book and dashed up the staircase to the classroom.

It wasn't until my 3rd period that everyone was called down to the auditorium for a quick announcement. I quickly looked for Adam so we can sit next to each other. I saw him in one of the last rows and quickly took a seat next to them. We could hear the people behind it us talking about how ugly my hair looked. Adam and I quickly turned around to see Reeve and Vanessa laughing at us.

"Shut up." I heard Adam say as he glared at the two behind us.

"Let me think about it, no!" Vanessa said.

"One more word about Mira and you'll end up in the hos-"

"Adam it's fine, just let it go. I really don't care what they think about me." I said interrupting Adam.

"Fine whatever." Adam said turning back around to the stage that the principal was about to walk on.

We all waited for the freshman to show up. After waiting for 5 minutes, the principal went on the stage. He adjusted the microphone to his height before speaking. He was really tall. He had glasses on and wore a black suit to work everyday.

   "Attention everyone! You all may know already that we have a transfer student from another school far away coming to this school for 4 months!" He passed. People gave excited glances at each other and others were whispering in other peoples ears.

  "Settle down, settle down." The principal said. "His first day will be Thursday, the day before our football teams first game of the season. I expect you all to welcome him and be kind, he's coming from a place 15 hours away from here. His name is Kai."

I look at Adam shocked. I knew Kai. I used to go to school with him in 3rd grade. Before I moved here. We were best friends. Adam looked at me like I'm crazy.

"Why are you so shocked about his name?" He asked me sounding very confused.

"I used to go to school with him before I moved here." I explained the rest to Adam. By the end he was speechless.

"That's so cool!" He said. I was about to say something before the principal started talking again.

"He's a junior so everyone who is in his year, help him out and be kind to him."

"Yeah, totally."

I heard what Reeve said. I rolled my eyes as everyone got up and went on with their day.

I'm sorry that there wasn't any Kaidam in this chapter but there will be soon! I'll try and upload a chapter once a week or maybe even more!
