Chapter 4

No ones Pov

  It's been a few weeks since the incident at the football game. Kai and Adam are currently at Holy Donuts. They just got their donuts and were now eating.

Adam's Pov

"These donuts are delicious!" Kai said, taking a huge bite.

"Woah! Slow down, your halfway done and I didn't even touch mine yet!" I chuckle.

"It's not my fault that I'm hungry!" Kai laughs. I really enjoy spending time with Kai. He makes me really happy. I've never felt more happy in my entire life when I'm with him. Suddenly, the people who make my life a living hell walk in. I will get them back for what they did to Kai!

"Well, well look at what we have here, Vanessa!" Reeve smirked.

"What are you guys doing here?" I glared at them.

"We came here for donuts. Why? Is that not allowed?" Vanessa snapped back.

"Adam just ignore them, they're not worth it." Kai said.

"No, I'm giving them payback for what they did to you!" I yelled, standing up with my fist in my hand.

"Let's take this outside then, shall we?" Reeve said, walking to the door. "Unless your scared? No one likes a scaredy cat!" He said before walking out the door. I was just about to walk out behind him until someone grabbed my wrist.

"Adam, don't!" Kai looked at my with pleading eyes. How could I say no? He's so cute! But, I had to get Reeve back, he hurt Kai really bad! I had to get him back, I had to!

"I'm sorry Kai, but he hurt you, so now I'll hurt him!"

"Adam, no! You have no idea how much trouble you'll get in!"

"I don't care Kai! He hurt you!" Kai let's go of my wrist, and I walk outside. I see Vanessa recording.

"Why is she recording?" I ask Reeve.

"Just incase you do anything stupid, we can show it to the whole school!" Reeve smirked.

"You'll be the one doing something stupid Reeve!" I said holding my fists up.

"Let's see what you've got." Reeve said, also holding his fists up.

Right before I was gonna punch Reeve, he slapped me right across the face. Smack! That was all you could hear at the moment. I put my hand on my cheek. It was burning with pain. He probably left a mark! That jerk! I was raging with anger. I was ready to punch him, slap him, just beat him up! He deserves it, after everything he's put me, Kai, and Mira through! I shoved him against the wall of Holy Donuts. I raised my fist, ready to punch him at any second. Suddenly, I heard a voice screaming. Kai's voice. I turned away from Reeve and looked at Kai.

"STOP ADAM!" Kai looked like he was on the verge of tears. His eyes were tearing up. Vanessa turned her phone away from Reeve and I, and started looking at Kai.

"Kai..."

"Let go of him Adam!" Kai yelled in a shaky voice. I immediately listened and let go of Reeve.

"You shouldn't be fighting! It'll get you all hurt and just start another fight all over again!" Kai yelled and ran off.

"Well that took a turn!" Vanessa laughed.

"Yeah, let's go get some donuts now!" Reeve said, then pushing me into the wall and walking away.

I ran after Kai, he couldn't have gotten that far. I mean, he's not the fastest runner I've met but he could still run pretty fast. "Kai, wait up!" My legs were getting tired, I started sweating. The wind blowing in my face felt good though. I needed to catch up to Kai. Dang I'm surprised he hasn't stopped running yet, I've been chasing him for 10 minutes now and he hasn't stopped once. How does he have so much energy? I have zero, I'm surprised I haven't fell onto the ground yet. Suddenly, Kai finally stopped. I speed walked over to him.

"Kai, I'm really sorry, I was just so angry at what he did to you." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"I told you not to countless times Adam!" Kai said angrily, he pushed my hand off his shoulder and turned away from me.

"Kai...I was trying to protect you!"

"Oh so beating someone up is protecting me!?" Kai snapped.

"Kai I didn't mean it li-" I was interrupted by Kai's angry voice.

"Whatever Adam, see you at school." And he walked off.

I've messed up big time.
