Adam's Pov

I tried running after Kai but I felt a pair of hands grab onto my wrists. I turned around and saw Mira.

"Mira, let me go!" I yelled.

"You can't go after him Adam, he needs his only time to calm down." Mira told me.

"Mira! He's mad at me, I need to make things right between us!" I protested.

"After school Adam, I don't want you getting detention!"

"Fine." I gave up. "Now, can you let go of my wrists?" I asked.

"Right, sorry." Mira immediately let go. "Head to class, you don't want to be late."

"I know." I answered as I headed to my locker.

The school day was absolutely dreadful. I kept seeing people staring at me throughout the day. It's definitely because of the video or what happened this morning. I need to make things right with Kai! He's been on my mind all day, and I don't know what to do. My thoughts are haunting me, persuading me to go find Kai right now! But Mira keeps telling me throughout the day to look for him after school! I can't stay another minute in this horrid place, I need to go find Kai! I was barely paying attention in one of my classes when suddenly, the bell rang. Finally, this class was so boring. I sulked my way into the humongous cafeteria. The same people sitting at the same tables everyday, nothing new. I made my way over to the table where Mira was sitting at. I took a seat across from her.

"Mira!" Mira didn't look up, she was on her phone. "Mira!" I yelled, this time she looked up.

"What?" She asked.

"I can't stay another minute in this place, can you please tell the office I went home sick?" I asked.

"Adam, no! What if they don't believe me?" Mira panicked.

"They will, trust me!"

"Adam, you can't skip school!"

"Please Mira..." I pleaded.

"Fine, but you owe me!" Mira rolled her eyes.

"Thanks! Your the best!" I thanked her and ran out.

I ran straight towards the front doors. First, I checked to see if anyone was in the hallway. Nope, no one, not even a single soul. I guess they were all either in class or at lunch. I pushed the doors open and ran outside. The bright yellow sun was beaming in the sky. I felt a nice breeze against my skin. Although it was almost December, today the weather was amazing. But I didn't have time to focus on the weather, I needed to find Kai, tell him that I'm sorry for everything. The problem was however, I had absolutely no clue where Kai possibly went! He could be anywhere! I could start with Holy Donuts, he loves that place. Yes I think I'll go there first. I ran all the way to Holy Donuts, ignoring the odd looks I was getting from people because I was running. I ran straight through the doors, I looked around everywhere. Kai wasn't sitting in any of the booths. He might be in the bathroom. I went into the bathroom, still no Kai. This was going to be a lot harder than I thought.

I was running around, looking for Kai for I guess hours now. The sun, was starting to set, and I'm pretty sure school finished for the day. I put my hand in my pocket to check the time on my phone, when I figured out my pocket was empty, I realized I had left my phone in my locker. Dang it. I continued walking until I looked forward and saw a beautiful blue ocean. Looks like I'm at the beach. I walked around, placing my feet on the sand. I looked around, I saw a figure lying down, gazing at the stars in the sky.

Kai.
