many years later~

iwaizumi was sitting in the park's bench, watching his wife playing with their two kids in the playground with a loving smile.

he was so lucky to have found ara, she's the sweetest angel ever and was even happier when ara was pregnant with his child.

his life is perfect. his job pays well, he have a beautiful and loyal wife, with two cute kids. what more can he ask for honestly.

however one memory still lingers in his head until today. and that memory was from his university life. oikawa tooru, wonder how's he doing now...is he still living such a sad life or is he happier?

"please okuda, you can't break up with me, we're literally engaged!"

a man's shout distracted iwaizumi's attention and he watched as that man sat down beside him in the bench, continuing talking to his phone.

"okuda i didn't do anything wrong at all why?"

the man was speaking in a tone that sounded like he was going to cry.

"okuda please don't-"

the man stopped talking and looked at his phone. his boyfriend or rather ex-boyfriend just hung up on him. he laughed to himself after seeing that his ex lover had deleted his contact, completely oblivious to the fact that someone was beside him.

"oikawa? is that you?"

iwaizumi spoke up and oikawa turned around. oikawa's eyes widened when he saw iwaizumi.

"i-iwa-chan?"

"hey."

"nice to see you after so many years iwa-chan. heard that you're married and have kids. congratulations."

"thank you oikawa. and you? how are you doing?"

"if you're referring to my romantic life then it's horrible. i just got the dumped for like what? the fifth time? and this time i was going to get married. ha jokes on me, now im single again."

"oikawa it's ok...you'll find someone."

"iwa-chan. im thirty-five years old. no one wants a old man. somemore this old man here is gay."

"im sorry..."

"it's not your fault iwa-chan don't apologize. look at you, you have a family and i-"

oikawa gulped and tried to hold back his tears.

"i have nothing."

iwaizumi didn't even know what to say to comfort oikawa. he thinks that at this point whatever he says, oikawa will still feel hurt and empty.

so instead, he moved nearer to oikawa and hugged him.

oikawa blinked in surprise. but he hugged back iwaizumi also immediately. the tears he tried controlling finally rolled down. iwaizumi always had a strong build, those muscular arms were unbelievably soft and gentle. the warmth iwaizumi was giving him was something that all his exs had failed to give.

he really misses iwaizumi. iwaizumi is such a nice and caring guy. how oikawa hopes that iwaizumi is actually not married, doesn't have kids and is gay. if that's the case he would have been in such a happy life with him.

then oikawa opened his eyes to see that in a playground not far away, his wife, ara and his children were playing with each other. his heart calmed down and he stopped crying. he pushed iwaizumi away and wiped his tears.

"thanks iwa-chan. I'll be going now, i still have a report to type for work."

it was a really shitty excuse, but iwaizumi seemed to have genuinely bought it. he nodded and waved goodbye to oikawa. oikawa returned the wave and left.

he didn't really left. he just went far enough so that iwaizumi couldn't see him anymore. and from afar, he could see that iwaizumi's wife and children and joined him again. iwaizumi grinned from ear to ear as he hugged up his children and kissed his wife on her lips. the family of four walked away, probably back home to enjoy their life.

oikawa smiled bitterly at their backs. he's really jealous some people gets such a good life while his was just a piece of shit since the beginning and probably will continue being this terrible till the end.

oikawa decided to avoid iwaizumi by moving away from tokyo, he didn't wanted to disturb iwaizumi's peaceful life.

but then he had a change of his mind and went for a more permanent way of leaving iwaizumi in his peaceful life forever. oikawa went to the pharmacy and bought a bottle of sleeping pills. now he would finally be freed from this painful life.

iwaizumi really is the main protagonist in the story. he gets a happy ending while all the other side characters just gets forgotten. just like oikawa. maybe, just maybe in their next life, those side characters will get a chance to be a main character too.

yayyyy im done with the story. it's kinda short and shitty but i really tried my best at angst ok pls forgive me >.<

and also idk if i wanna write a chapter where they meet in their nex life or smt
