Chapter 2

"Y/N. You sure you don't want to talk with her? You already went all the way to her house. Why not go inside?" Chaewon asked as she took a bite from her food.

"Just giving her the bouquet with the letter inside was enough."

"Really?" Chaewon asked him again. He looked at her putting his down utensils to stop eating.

"Who am i kidding? Of course I want to, Chaewon-ah. It's been a year since i've last talked with her and i want to talk with her so badly. I'm just afraid she'll just shoo me away."

"You haven't even tried. So how would you know?"

"That's the problem. I don't know what the outcome will be. The thought of her not wanting to look at me makes me feel like dying."

"But the fact that you even went as far as to go to her house and gave the bouquet... i envy her."

"Envy her? Why?"

"Nothing. Let's just keep eating. Please take good care of me while we're in college, Y/N."

"Likewise, Chaewon-ah. Likewise."

"Mom. I want to go to S University." Minju said the next morning. She made sure to use glasses to cover her puffy face from crying all night.

"Oh? Are you sure? Didn't you say that you wanted to go to U University?"

"I changed my mind. Please, mom. I want to go there."

"Of course, honey. Speaking of S University, Y/N's mother also said tha-." Her mom paused as she started snickering at her daughter.

"Wh-what?" Minju started getting flustered

"My baby is all grown up now, isn't she?" She pinched her cheeks. "I'm glad that nothing seems to be wrong with you two. I noticed that you've been hanging out with him less lately which made me worried."

"I-It doesn't have anything to do with him! I just wanna go there, that's all."

"You're at that age, huh? You'll accept it soon, honey." She smiled before going back to cooking.

"Whatever mom." She said before turning around. Even though she said that it doesn't have to do anything with him, in truth, it does have everything to do with him.

"By the way, your eyes look puffy. Were you that happy that Y/N gave you a graduation present?"

Minju blushed at the fact that her mother noticed her puffy eyes even after wearing glasses to hide it.

"Y-You noticed?"

"You're my daughter, Minju-ya. There's nothing you can hide from me. Just admit that you like him so that you can move on and get into a relationship with him."

"I don't like him mom. We haven't even talked for a whole year." Minju gasped at the slip of her tounge making her stop cooking.

"You haven't talked with him for a year?! No wonder he didn't went inside yesterday!" She turned the stove off moving closer to her.

"Tell me everything. Now." She grabbed her hand dragging her to the living room.

"Mom!"

"Aish. So you were jealous that he got a new friend?"

"I-I'm not jealous!"

"Then what else can it be if it wasn't jealousy?" She asked. Minju had no answer to that so she kept silent.
