Chapter 9

Y/N squinted his eyes as he's slowly about to be awaken from his slumber. His body aching after running around the city here and there searching for his one and only close friend he ever had (not including Chaewon).

Ugh... i should really start working out...

He thought to himself as he tried to sit up on his bed. He looked to his side and noticed Minju wasn't there which made him quite stunned.

"Minju?" He called out to her to no answer.

Oh no. Am i now unable to see her? Have i forgotten about her? Nah, that can't be the case. I wouldn't be calling out to her if that was it.

"Minju?" He called out once again but louder this time.

"Yes?" Her answer made Y/N let out a sigh of relief.

"Ya. Don't make me scared like that."

"Ng?" Minju didn't quite caught what Y/N had said since she was outside of the room.

"It's nothing. What're you doing?" He got up from his bed walking outside of his room to find Minju cooking some breakfast.

"Just cooking some food. You must be hungry right?"

The view of Minju cooking at his place made his imagination become active making him daydream on the spot. 

"Y/N?" She called out after not hearing a response from him.

"Eh?" He snapped out of it.

"Ah. Yeah, i'm quite hungry actually." He glanced at the clock showing 7.41 A.M. Still a bit early for his class, so he wasn't in any rush. "How come you know i placed what where?"

".....what?" She didn't understand what he said making him repeat himself.

"I mean, how do you know where i placed my utensils and such?" He asked her after realizing that she was cooking despite this being the first time she ever cooked there.

"Doing a little exploration doesn't hurt, does it? Anyway, it's almost done."

Time skip

After cleaning the dishes as well as the utensils Minju had used, Y/N then told Minju to take a shower before him.

He started getting ready for college while Minju was sitting on his couch idling.

"Where are you going?"

"Uh.... class...?" Y/N answered as he tied his shoes while looking at Minju confused.

"You're just gonna leave me here alone?" Minju said whining making Y/N feel bad.

"Come on, Minju-ya. I'm still a student."

"If you're gonna leave me here, then i'll come with you." Minju said as she got up from the sofa. Y/N thought about it before he came to a realization.

"Sure, why not? People can't see you afrer all. But wouldn't it be weird if people saw me talking to the air?"

"That's your problem, not mine." She teased him making him chuckle.

"Fine. But don't talk to me when people are around."

Minju nodded as she followed him from behind.

"So.... how do we figure this out?" He asked her as she shrugged. Even Minju didn't know what to do, nor did she know the reason as to what happened to her.

"Hm.... i don't really want to think about it too hard in the morning... should we just talk about it tonight? I'll go to class, after that we'll go to your house and grab your stuff."

"Sounds like a plan."

"Now that i thought about it.... are your clothes invisible as well?"

"If it weren't, people would've freaked out by now Y/N." Y/N nodded as he looked at the people nearby ignoring him.

"You're right. But how will people see you if you hold something? For example... my phone?"

"We could do it in front of your friend and see how she reacts."

"Let's hurry and try it then."

The whole journey was silent as Y/N took the bus with Minju sitting next to him. There wasn't really a lot of people so Minju could be at ease as she sat down. She tried to wave her hand in front of people's faces after finding it to be fun.

Y/N who saw this scene then typed in some note in her hand and showed it to her secretly.

You act like a kid.

The message read. Minju who saw it then playfully hit him by the head as he held it in so he wouldn't be seen as a crazy person.

Finally arrived at his campus, he walked straight to class so he could have a talk with Chaewon.

"Y/N!" Chaewon who came out of thin air called out to Y/N.

"There's the girl." Minju said to him.

"Don't talk to me for now...." Minju scoffed at him before scoffing at Chaewon who's running at him.

"You didn't give me any news last night. I was so worried..." She said. Y/N then hit the top of his head cursing at himself for forgetting about it.

"Sorry, Chaewon-ah. I was too tired last night."

"It's okay. So, have you found her yet?" Y/N was a bit hesitant in answering her as Minju  looked at hin straight in the eye as she stood next to Chaewon making him nervous.

"Uh.... y.... n....... yes. I found her." Chaewon didn't know how to react to the news so her face remained still.

"Really?" Y/N nodded. "Where is she?" Chaewon looked around for signs of her as Minju backed off being afraid of bumping into her, even though that's not possible.

"I don't know if you would believe me, but.... you can't see her."

"What? Y/N i'm serious. Where is she?"

"You can't see her, Chaewon-ah. She's right next to you right now." Chaewon looked to the left not finding anybody. It made her whole body shiver.

"Y/N stop making me scared..."

"I'm not!" Y/N said as he placed his hand on Minju's shoulder. Minju felt his touch as well as Y/N felt her shoulder. But to Chaewon, he was just lifting his hand up in the air.

".....i don't see anything." Chaewon sighed. "Can you show me her picture then?"

"Right!" Y/N took out his phone and showed her the picture of him being with her in high school.

"It's just you, Y/N."

"What?" Y/N pulled his phone to make sure that he showed the right picture. Which he did. But as he should've expected, she only saw him.

"*sigh* Y/N. Are you sick?" She hovered her hand to his forehead. "Your temperature is normal."

"No, i'm not." Y/N was about to gave up when he resorted to his final option.

"Minju. Hold my phone." In the eyes of Chaewon, his phone vanished to thin air, making her stumble back.

"Do you believe me now?" Y/N took back his phone.

"What is happening?" She looked frightened as Y/N tried to calm her down.

"Let's look for some place to talk."
