Chapter 30

“Your brother?” Y/N stared in confusion, as he was not sure what to stare at. “But I don’t see any-”

“Y/N, don’t tell me that you can’t see the person she’s hugging right now.” Minju told Y/N, making him more confused than he already was. 

“I can’t. Believe me. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be looking at right now.”

“But he’s here! Namjoon-oppa is here!” Daeun chimed in, pulling what seemed to be a hand over to Y/N’s arm. He could not feel anything, and just stood there. 

“Does this mean that he’s also in the same situation, Minju-ya?”

“I-It looks like it.” They turned their attention to supposedly Daeun’s brother, as if he was saying something to the both of them.

“He said that no one is able to see him, so he’s actually very glad that there’s someone else who’s able to actually greet him. And the fact that he got to meet his sister was actually relieving.” Minju explained, as Daeun nodded in agreement.

“I see.” Y/N could not believe what was going on in front of his eyes. In only a few months, a lot of weird things have happened in his life. Minju being a ‘ghost’, enrolled to an occult club in order to look for ways to return Minju back to being a human, finding a little girl who’s also supposedly a ghost, and now the brother who was invisible to him. It all felt too much for him, as he took a deep breath, letting it out slowly in order to think properly.

“First of all, why can’t I see the person in front of me? If he really is in a similar situation with Minju, then why am I able to see her, if I’m unable to see him?”

Both Minju and Daeun could only answer by shaking their heads, unable to give Y/N a clear explanation on what’s going on. It looks like the brother also didn’t know how he turned out like that, making Y/N realize that more questions were starting to pile up with no answer being given out.

“I… *sigh* Let's just continue what we’re doing out here and hurry so that we can go back to my place to discuss all of this. I think I’m gonna need Eunbi-noona to accompany me.”

Time skip

“…..” Silence had befallen upon the group, as none of them was really sure what to speak of. Eunbi had her mouth open with no words coming out, as she too was speechless of what had come upon them.

“Wow. All I can say is wow. Because It all just seems too weird to be true. I’m just amazed, really. Looks like there are more secrets to this world for me to explore.”

“Noona. Focus.”

“Sorry. Anyway, does he remember anything he might’ve done for him to become like this?” Minju listened to his answer, whilst conveying it to the two who’s unable to hear his words.

“He said he’s not really sure how he got to this. He remembered talking to some….” Minju stopped, putting on a surprised look as if she found something she had been looking for.

“Did you happen to talk with an old lady who happened to pass by at the park?!”

Their conversation soon heated, leaving Y/N in the dust. All he could hear was Minju’s side of the talk, not knowing what the other was talking about.

“Woah woah, Minju? Minju-ya? Minmin…?” She stopped and turned to him soon after hearing her nickname, and apologized.

“He said he can’t remember what happened to him. But we both do have something in common. We both talked to an old lady at a park.”

“Wait. Come to think of it, have you ever told me about what you did the night before you turned like this?”

“I don’t know. But it might be better for me to explain it all over. So the ni-“ She stopped her sentence after realizing what she was about to tell to the group.
