"Say cheese!"
Snap.
Chloe ran over to see the picture her mom just took of her on her cellphone.
"You look gorgeous. I am so proud of you!" her mom exclaimed, giving her daughter a big hug.
It was Chloe's college graduation. A large crowd was gathered in front of the downtown center where the graduation ceremony was held, and Chloe and her mom were standing right in the middle of it celebrating. Chloe was dressed in a dark blue graduation gown with a cap on her head, proudly wearing a golden tassel off of the top of it. She had made it through college with all A's (except in one class regarding mathematics, but we won't talk about that one) and earned a degree in childhood education. The sky was bright blue and the sun was in the middle of the sky, as it had reached noon.
"I can't believe I'm standing here. It's so surreal," Chloe commented. "I don't feel like a college graduate."
"Well, you better believe it, hun! You worked so hard." her mom replied.
"Can we go to McDonald's to celebrate? I'm starving." Chloe said.
"No, no, no, we're not eating more junk. Today, I am treating you to a fancy place. You deserve it." her mom suggested.
Chloe rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine..."
"Other kids would be happy to enjoy some fine dining," her mom noted.
"I know, I just like to eat what I know I like. And I'm not a kid anymore," Chloe told her.
"Well, it's not everyday that you're graduating from college! And you'll always be my kid, so no more ifs, ands, or buts."
Chloe sighed. "I just hope I can actually use my degree."
"Oh I'm sure you will. We live in a small town, so we need more teachers. And you are going to be an amazing one."
"I hope so." Chloe said, giving her mother a modest smile.
The two navigated through the excited crowd and into the parking lot. It was hard trying to find Chloe's mom's SUV through the sea of cars, but her mom used the car remote to find it.
"Aha, there it is!" her mom said as the car flashed it's headlights. They headed towards the blue SUV and got in.
"Gimme some air!" Chloe screeched as her mother turned the air conditioning on full blast.
"Alright, let's go!" her mom cheered, as they drove out of the parking lot and towards the fancy steak house on the other side of town.
**6 months later**
"I'm right behind the shack," Chloe said. "Wait until I say the word..."
"Okay, I'm going to stay at north base," a voice said into Chloe's headphones.
"Oh crap, I think they're coming, there's five of them!" Chloe said, panicking.
"I guess all you can do is go into offense," the voice said in her headphones.
Suddenly, gunshots were heard, and Chloe was looking at a bloody screen that said "Game Over".
"Ugh!" Chloe screamed, throwing down her controller.
"You okay, Clo?" the voice said.
Chloe tried to calm herself down. "Sorry, I've been trying to beat that mission for ages. I thought with help it'd be easier."
"Wanna just video chat instead?" the voice asked.
"Sure." Chloe agreed, grabbing her laptop and booting up Skype. She scrolled down the list until she found the name, "Sandy222". She clicked the video call button and waited until Sandy answered.
