Chapter 5

Alrighty.. So when i say 'kai said', it means he is talking in his mind to the dragons. If he was thinking, i would say Kai thought. Alright? Oke doke.. Onto the story!
Also... In this, 'Zane means evil Zane. Just Zane means good Znae, alright? Also goes with the others.

June 3rd, Wedseday,

A few months have passed since I got punched in the throat. After a few days on recovering, I realized i cant speak now... But luckily the only being I can talk to with my mind is the dragons.
   Legend grew alot. Hes almost as big as my bed if he curls up on it.
      Flame, Wisp, Shard, and Rocky seem to be more protective of me than when their protecting the others.
     I havent been to the city since the incident. I think that they think tthey scared me off to not come back to fight.
   Thats not the case boys...
  Well, i gotta go. I hear Legend whining. Ill keep this updated...
 
   Kai sighed quietly. He got up and walked to put away the journal.
   Kai heard Legend whine even louder.
   'Im coming!' Kai thought..
  Legend huffed. ' Its late!'
  Kai chuckled silently.
  Kai walked to his room where Legend and the others where laying on the floor.
  Kai got on his bed and started to fall asleep along with the dragons falling asleep.

    Kai jolted awake when something landed on his chest. Kai groaned, but as usual, he didnt make a sound. Kai glared at Legend, who looked like they had a smug look on his face.
   'Really?' Kai thought.
  'Yes really... Now wake up.' Legend got off Kai and walked to the big room. Kai got up and got changed.
  Kai walked out to the big room and got something to eat for him and the dragons.
    
  A few hours have passed, Kai and legend were getting ready to go to Ninjago for the first time is a few months or so.
'You ready big guy?' Kai said.
  Legend roared a bit and jumped.
  'Alright, lets go.' Kai got on Legend and they flew off.
 
    'Alright, Legend. Lets be quiet and fast... I dont want to to get caught and get hurt even more than i am.' Kai said, looking around.
     'Ha... You'll always be quiet.' Legend said back.
  Kai glared and hit Legend in the neck.
    'Thats not funny Legend. That punch hurt ya know?' Kai said, angry.
  'Yeah yeah... I know, i wasnt there when it happened, ya know?' Legend said, feeling a bit bad about what he said.
   Legend knew that Kai was down about losing his voice for a while until he can try to get help with it.
    'I know that Legend.' Kai said.
  Legend whined.

   Legend landed near one of the buildings and Kai got off and went into the building.
  

'Zane pov.

  Zane looked around the building, making sure people were working.
Zane walked up to a high floor and was waiting for the others to arrive with their info on Ninjago. Since the last time they fought Kai, Zane, Jay, Cole and Nya hasn't seen him around.
Cole thought that his punch caused him to run but when he got back to his hidind spot, he was killed cause he couldn't breathe.
  Zane didnt think that happened.
Zane dismissed the thought of that day and waited, looking around at cloudy skies.
  He didnt understand why Kai won't join. He could have power like the rest of us. He could be with us again and be a team, taking over Ninjago and all the other realms.
   Maybe Kai did have a reason and a promise on why he won't join, but that wont stop the overlord and his army.
   Zane was taking out of his train of thoughts when he heard a thud behind him.
  Zane turned around to see no nothing other than crates.
   "Zane!" Cole yelled, walking up to him.
" hello Cole..." Zane said, quietly.
  "What are you looking at Zane?" Nya said.
  "I heard a thud..." Zane said.
  "Maybe its someone whos on this floor.." Jay said, finally making himself known.
  "Theres no one up here..." Cole said, looking at the crates.
   Zane turned to look at the others and then back at the crates.
Zane walked up to the crates and looked through ans behind every single on of them.
   All of a sudden, they heard ticking sounds.
  "What is that...?" Cole asked, listening .
   Zane thought for a moment until his eyes opened wide.
"Run!" Zane yelled.
They all ran out the window, since they were on the 4 floor so it wasnt a big drop.
   As they fell, the build blew up.
 
  Zane looked at the building and then looked around, spotting a black figure running with somewhat of a limp.
  Zane ran after them, ignoring the waits and the slow downs from the others.
   Zane caught up to the figure and tackled them. He then looked at the figure in the face... But all he could see was a gray skull mask with reddish orangish eyes.
   "Who are you?" Zane asked, getting up.
  The figure got up, but didn't say anything.
  "Answer me!" Zane said, louder.
  The figure just stood there, his eyes shifting up and down at Zane.
   Then the figure snapped his fingers, confusing Zane, until he heard a loud thud and felt the ground shake behind him.
    Zane turned around and came face to face with a dragon.
   The dragon lifted it self off the ground and the last thing Zane saw was thee dragons silver eyes glaring back at him.

 
Zane pov.
   As Zane slowly started to wake up, he couldn't tell where he was or how he got there. The last thing that he remembers is getting hit with dark matter.
  Zane looked around and noticed that he was in somewhat of a cave.
  As Zane looked around, he looked straight at a dragon.
  Zane jumped.
  He also say a figure, a male, standing next to the counter.
   "Hello?" Zane called out.
  The figure turned around and saw Zane awake.
The figure walked towards Zane, holding a few arrows and a sword.
   "Who are you and where am i? Where are my friends?" Zane asked, confused.
   The figure walked to the dragon, ignoring the questions and putting the arrows and the sword on a harness the dragon was wearing.
The figure turned back at Zane.
  "Did you hear me? Or are you ignoring me?" Zane asked.
  The figure pointed at himself and then at the sword.
Zane looked at the sword.
  Zane felt like the style of the sword was familiar.
  "Im going to ask again... Who are you?" Zane asked.
The figure looked down. He grabbed his helmet\mask, taking it off.
  Zane eyes widened.

"Kai?!"

  Woo! Kai saved Zane... Who knew? Hehe..
