Sophie slumped back into a couch, defeated. They had to just sit there while the world went on.
Guilt pricked at her. No, she told herself. I am the Moonlark. It isn't my fault that I laughed.
She looked around the room. Unfortunately, the principal wasn't there, so they all had to sit in silence.
There was a bookshelf on the left side of the room, filled with neatly organised books. In front of them was a desk, with a computer on the right. A rolling chair was behind the desk.
Sophie looked over to see Keefe smile. "I call the rolling chair!" he yelled, yanking the rolling chair out and sitting in it.
"Hey, no fair!" Dex and Fitz complained at the same time. Keefe started spinning around, like, REALLY fast.
Sophie guessed he was using skills to push into his legs. All that time with the Neverseen had helped him a little after all.
Sophie glanced over at the window. It was large, around 3 x 4, with large tan curtains.
She spotted a small butterfly outside. It was the most gorgeous thing she had ever seen.
It was black as the night, with purple highlights on the wings. It hit the window a few times.
"Hey, look at that," Sophie said, pointing at the butterfly. It kept hitting, battering its wings on the windows.
"Woah. What is that?! Its so pretty!" Biana squealed.
"I have no idea. I've never seen them at havenfield." Sophie inspected it.
"I think it wants inside," Dex commented.
"Okay! Lets let the pretty butterfly in! Hey, how about we say, 'follow the pretty butterfly across the sky,'" Biana squealed in delight as Sophie opened the window. The butterfly came in and flew around, confused.
That was when the principal walked in. "What did you do- don't touch that!" He pointed in horror at the butterfly.
"What's wrong with a simple butterfly?" Biana asked.
"Its not a simple butterfly. Its an akuma." He said darkly. "Try to stay happy! Ladybug will come and deal with this."
Sophie watched as the butterfly/akuma came towards her.
"What-why is it coming at me?" Sophie asked, running to the far side of the room.
"I have no idea! Are you feeling any negative emotions?" Fitz asked.
"No-" That was when it dawned on her. She glanced down at her stomach.
Right below her ribs was a knot of negative emotions. She uses it for inflicting. Maybe that was why the akuma was coming at her.
It approached her. She was cornered at the wall, with no-where to run.
She almost considered inflicting, but if she did everyone would be affected.
Hello? Sophie reached out to the akuma.
WHAT, HOW ARE YOU SPEAKING TO ME? YOU AREN'T EVEN AKUMATISED YET! a voice boomed in her head.
Who are you? Sophie asked.
Hawk Moth.
The moth hit her Ruwen pin. Sophie felt a darkness overcome her, kinda like when Umber hit her with shadowflux.
She watched as her body transformed. Her normal clothes were replaced by a black and teal suit, her hair turning silver.
NOW, FIGHT BACK! SHOW THEM ELVES ARE BOSS, Hawk moth told her.
Sophie felt him fueling her with darkness. She simply absorbed it, adding it to her knot.
No, Sophie said.
N-No? W-what? HOW ARE YOU GOING AGAINST ME?! Hawk Moth screamed.
I am the Moonlark. Sophie calmly stated.
She watched as Ladybug and Chat Noir came into the room. They started to attack her. Ladybug threw her yo-yo while Chat tried to use his pole.
Sophie calmly used telekines to lift them up.
"We need to stop the akuma!" Ladybug complained.
"Why isn't she attacking?" Chat asked.
GO AWAY! Sophie screamed at Hawk Moth. She forced all her power into the words. Then, a blinding light came.
When the light disappeared, everyone stared at her.
Her Ruwen pin was now in the shape of the Black Swan. Her suit was a mix of a swan and a moonlark theme.
"What happened?" Keefe asked.
Sophie looked at her swan. It flashed five times, then Sophie changed back. Her pin was now a simple black and white heart.
The strangest thing was, a small creature was in front of her. She had the purple feathers of a moonlark.
Then, it spoke. "I am Luna, your kwami."
Sophie fainted.
